Mining SIA coin to Burst
-
@gpedro Keep in mind that a lot of those coins and algo's are not very efficient and can be hard on your hardware. SIA it probably not very efficient with the gpu. Just doing it while there is a 20% bonus

Sorry if this is off-topic, but I am mining LBC at the moment, and with my nVidia 860M I am able to mine about 1-2 coins per day (40 MH/s). With the current price of 0.0009 on Polo it's giving a nice return. :) I downloaded the miner from here: http://cryptomining-blog.com/8125-updated-ccminer-1-8-fork-by-tpruvot-with-lbry-support/.
I'm mining on the suprnova pool for LBC.

@Propagandalf Good to know! Another guy on here had an 820m chipset and was having trouble with sgminer. Would be interesting to see if you can mine SIA just to see if your card works on sgminer.
-
@crutsy @IIOBrocker Isn't sgminer for AMD cards? Ccminer is for nVidia as far as I know!
-
@Propagandalf To my knowledge, and its been a long time. CGMiner is AMD but SGminer should do both.
CCminer is the best by far for nvidia, but not built for SIA yet.
However there is a Cuda version already, but not as fast as sgminer.

that guy was me... xD
@Propagandalf you have GPU-Z installed? Could you put here a print so i could compare with my 820M? Also your batch if you can...

@gpedro
Here you go, mate. This is my setup for LBC mining - I haven't tried SIA yet (but I have bought some coins, hehe). For those unfamiliar with suprnova pools: You have to register a user account on their website in order to create a worker and worker password, and that is how you get your '-u' and '-p' values for the batch file (u=username.workername).
-
@Propagandalf thanks mate i will retry later today with that miner but my batch is like yours so...
And my card is like half of yours...

-
@Propagandalf @gpedro here is a new miner for nvidia

@crutsy Thanks, mate! I am downloading it now.
EDIT
I went from 40 MH/s mining LBC to 44 MH/s. That's a 10% increase, which is pretty nice. :)

@crutsy I've just had a go at this after reading your post. It was a little trickier to get in and working than Burst that's for sure, but looking at it, I really like their approach with offering online secure storage. Which is a total bonus, because if this thing cooks my card (which it's really trying hard to do by the way) then I can always donate some spare storage instead to generate a few SC's ;)
Either way, next time BURST is under review on one of the trading platforms I should at least have a few coins in the bag to help bump things up a little!
So for now, I'm getting ~900MHs with Sia and it's heating the front room nicely...lol Thanks for the pointer crutsy :)
K.
