miner ram
-
@Blago im not sure i understand your question. i usually use a 3 gig stagger on my 8 gig ram laptop. but 2 gigabytes are always in use by the applications other than the plotter. also, if you could tell me how to reconfigure the stagger for the wallet plotter that would help a bunch
-
@ddos try
%AppData%\Roaming\BurstWallet\plotter\wplotgenerator.exe xxx yyy zzz 2048 /aasync mode, need Stagger * 2 of RAM
and close miner while plotting
-
@Blago here's the thing though. even when i manually do that, it still fills my standby
i tried doing a 1 gig stagger and it still filled it
my miner is not open while im plotting
btw, what is async mode
-
@ddos async - calculate plot's part and write it to disk at same time
and try this http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/ssd-performance-tweak,2911-5.html (disable EnablePrefetcher and EnableSuperfetch)

@Blago ok i think i figured it out. i had my system automatically allocating my page file. i set it to be 1 gigabyte and the page file stayed low. thanks for the help
-
@Blago one more question, when i first used the plotter through the wallet i configured it to use 3 gigabytes of ram. how can i change or reconfigure the plotter in the wallet without having to manually plot every time?
-
@ddos i have that same problem
the plotter just gets stuck!
-
@ddos i'd used .bat for plotting, manually.
-
@kevinfml your Stagger must be < 1/2 of free RAM
-
@ddos which software you are using?
