5k burst bounty for the first person that gets my 500tb running solo

  • I have no idea what the problem is. But there is no way im this unlucky. i've been solo mining 500tb for several days and haven't found a single block on either of my 250tb machines.

Only problem i can think of is this.
I use the new blago miner with avx2. I have the folder on my desktop with the passphrases text file in it. The miner starts. Says address and port and all of that. Even tells me my block find chance. But yet no blocks found. Is it bc i'm using the new blago in my desktop folder instead of the built in wallet miner?

  • admin

@ChuckNorris No block with 500TB in two days would be unlucky. Any errors displayed? I can TV with you later if you want.

  • I know your not an idiot but the following comes to mind
did you assign your miner to your wallet address
is the AIO wallet running at 100% updated
    please post you Blago config
and perhaps try the previous Blago version if your not on a ninja v3 pool which it is primarily released for and perhaps not fully tested for solo yet? @Blago ? what is your processor btw

  • Hey @ChuckNorris got mine working. I installed Burstcoin_Wallet_AIO_Setup_0.3.9.7 made sure it was synced up.

Went to C:\Users\Garbear\AppData\Roaming\BurstWallet\miner-burst-1.170603 added my passphrase to the txt file.

    Changed my paths to "Paths":["R:\plots","D:\plots","E:\plots","F:\plots","G:\plots","H:\plots",
    "I:\plots","J:\plots","K:\plots","L:\plots","M:\plots","N:\plots","O:\plots",
    "P:\plots","Q:\plots","T:\plots","U:\plots","V:\plots","W:\plots","X:\plots"],

left the target deadline high as I wanted to find something to make sure it was working.

I was already solo with jminer so no need to set my reward assignment as it was done already.

And u need to have double slashes in the config it's just when u post them on here the forum it takes a slash away when posting, idk why?

  • admin

@Garbear The first slash is taken as an escape character to display the next character directly.

  • Anyone know why blago and jminer show 2 different plot size totals?

    Blago shows (98916 Gb)
    Jminer shows capacity '106210 GB'

I have all the same drives and paths in both miner configs

  • well, my guesses are the processor doesn't do avx2 or the deadline is too short

  • @Garbear That read speed kinda makes me mad... I only have 200MB/s using Blago's miner since my CPU is so much more powerful than my shitty NVIDIA GT 730. My RAM is 8GB with DDR4 speed.
    Edit:
I just realized you have 98.9TB, I'm so mad.

  • @FurryFlutt What's ur plot size and number of drives and cpu? All those are factors also. The Ryzen 1700 I got a couple weeks ago with 8 cores and 16 threads is a beast at plotting and cpu mining. I currently have a mix of 20 int/ext with multiple usb 3 cards and motherboard has 10 sata ports which are all helping with speeds.

  • @Garbear
    Mine:
    18:17:33 Thread "F:\Burst\plots" @ 0.1 sec (17.6 MB/s) CPU 8.07%
    18:17:34 Thread "E:\Burst\plots" @ 1.5 sec (19.4 MB/s) CPU 9.50%
    18:17:34 Thread "D:\Burst\plots" @ 1.7 sec (80.5 MB/s) CPU 39.97%

    100% 1539 GB (205.80 MB/s). no deadline Network quality: 100%
Didn't find a deadline this block xd. I usually find no deadline 6/10 times than to find a good deadline of under 7 days.
    I have these drives plotted:
    alt text

I do leave some space on my two hard drives for installing Steam games and programs. The SD card and the USB Drives are fully plotted, nothing else on them.
My CPU is an Intel Core i7-6700 3.40GHz with 4 cores 8 threads.
    Edit:
I of course use AVX2 since that gives me even faster read speeds (AVX gave me only 100~120MB/s, using AVX2 gives me 190~220MB/s)

  • @FurryFlutt Just looks like u don't have enough plots and it's getting done very fast. 2 secs and the cpu it just getting started lol. Plus a SD card I would think would be slow reading but thats just my guess.

  • @Garbear The SD card took me 1 day to plot 120GB on it.
    Edit:
Usually plotting 120GB on any other hard drive I have, would take not long. Probably 1~2 hours.
    Edit:
The USB drive took me 4 hours to plot 8GB on it...

  • I think that with 500tb you should go to one of the pools which give shares inversely proportional to deadline^1.2. That is, they give disproportionally more shares to big miners.

If everybody else on the pool has less than 500tb, it would be quite profitable, should be better than solo mining (at the expense of everybody else in the pool though).

  • @e1e1e1e1 Can you explain that a little better and which pool has that? Are you talking about where its like 60/40 or whatever?

  • @haitch Teamviewer? I'd be ok with that. I don't see any errors at all.

  • @Garbear I don't know how your getting those speeds with jminer. I only get 700mb/s with jminer. And low usuage on gtx 1070. What drives are you using. I'm using 8tb seagates 7 per hub. (i know 4 per hub is better) But either way. blago gets me better speeds so its not a drive bottlekneck. The memory issues i've had with jminer on 2 different machines makes me not want to go back. Also. I'm very constrained on watts. As i'm already pulling 4000 watts at my place. I try to be energy dense as possible. And don't want to run gtx 1070's with jminer. Especially since i replaced the i5's with i7's. Already a costly mistake going with i5 at first.
