Plotting and its time, a noobs perspective
-
Hello burst community, i just bought my first 8tb drive and started plotting it yesterday and i got shoked how long it would take to plot it, so i made the math an even if their would be no bottlenack by the cpu or gpu an the hdd coul write with its max. speed of arround 100MB/s it would take roughly 2.8h for 1tb to plot.. now i saw one guy in this forum with like 500tb of storage, this would be like 60days of plotting only, in rl (the hdd will not write with 100MB/s non stop) more like half a year!!
So my question is, am i missing something? Can u Plot many hdd's with just one computer at full speed at the same time?
Im very new to this and i know my english is no good, sorry for that :)

@Alexander_burst You can plot more than one drive at a time - gpuplotgenerator natively allows multiple drives, or you can run multiple instances of xplotter. You can also use multiple machines to plot the drives, then a separate server to mine them.

Ah Ok, thank you for your fast response. I do have 1 more question, is it right that i need some burstcoins before i can start mining?

@Alexander_burst You need 1 coin to join a pool. Post your address and I'll send you a couple
