Blago's Burst-Miner (Win)

@Blago Great job it seems to correct the no confirmation DL. Also the speed is great :)

added reconfirmation unconfirmed deadlines
Do you re-read the effected plotfile, just re-commit or how did you solve it/what was the issue?
-
@luxe just re-commit. If got errors from server - put deadlines to the "Sender thread" again

@ryanw
I extracted the 3 .exe files and the .dll to my AppData\Roaming\BurstWallet\miner-burst-1.160705
I left the .conf alone, because it looked like it had all my drive and pool settingsDoes it matter which .exe I should be using?
@Blago said avx2 is 30% faster, and I clicked it and it seems to be running fine. Is there a way to tell if AVX2 is supported?
-
-
@mrgoldy If avx2 is working, use that one by all means! I tried it for my miner, and it didn't work so I just kept using the one it was already using.
-
@Blago nice work m8 :) vent down 3 sec on read time.
-
@Blago
Diddo kudos on the new .exe
My 15tb was 30-40secs, down to 22-28secs from what I can tell so far
-
@Blago ~18sec/85Tb/20Disks vs jminer ~20sec/85Tb/20Disks !
you did it!
-
@nixxda what CPU and GPU?
-
~18sec@i7-6700K / ~22sec@HD530 integrated GPU / ~20sec@Nvidia GTX970
or there abouts!oh and I'm overclocking my processor a little bit!
TPD on i7 is 50W base and 96W max for these 18sec = 46W mining
TPD on GTX970 15W base and 50W max for 20sec =35W miningmeh! Theres a lot of guessing and assumptions involved in this calculation!
HD530 comparison is unfair because its also driving two displays at the moment! (and 0W base and 15W max cant be true?!)
-
@nixxda Thanks for that stats, TPD very interesting ... in theory it was kind of clear but nice to see numbers. Not sure if your GPU is the bottleneck in the jminer case. However awesome round times.
@Blago Thanks for the info and updates on the miner.
-
it seems its time to update the blagos miner i used till now :D
-
@luxe Take those TPD's with a garne of salt! I've got no idea how accurate they are. Although "nvidia-smi" probably is.
I believe @Blago has disk access figured out and driven it to the max! Also on Xplotter which is now faster for me then the gpuplotter to a single disk!!
(that's Xplotter@~11000nonces/min to SSD then move to (SMR)disk vs. gpuplotter@>20000n/m buffer to SSD then Optizer to disk!!?)Also "ease of use" is really nice with these tools!
That's why he's just gotten a 1block Tip to his well hidden addy from me.
And I sincerly hope he's getting himself a beer or three somewhere in the sun and not another Tb!-)
(or whatever makes him happy!)
-
@nixxda Thank you!
-
@Blago thanks for the updated miner Blago! I have been using the all-in-one windows miner but wanted to try your new one to see what results i get. Unfortunately, I am getting the following error when launching the miner (both AVX2 and AVX versions):
JSON Format Error (offset 283) check miner.conf
Invalid escape character in stringHere is my code below. Note that I only changed to the pool to mine in the first 3 blocks added the exact paths to my 5 burst folders/HDDs. Didn't change anything else (don't think I am supposed to). Even triple checked the syntax on the paths but I must be missing something as it still doesnt work.

Hi! Change Path to
"Paths":["C:\\plots","E:\\Burst\\plots","F:\\Burst\\plots","G:\\Burst\\plots","H:\\Burst\\plots","M:\\Burst\\plots"],(double slashes)
also you can check config by any JSON validator, https://jsonlint.com
-
@Blago Sweet! that got it going! thanks for the quick reply! that thing screams with AVX2 now... thanks for adding that option!
-
@Blago so, 1 other likely stupid question... i didnt see anywhere in the config file to enter the burst wallet ID of the pool (in my case, burstcoin.biz). I am curious about this because in using the AIO miner, it always requires that info when designating a new pool.
Are the only things required in your miner to change the first 3 blocks of code to my pool and designate the location of my burst plots? Or, is there something else that needs to be done to configure correctly? My miner has been running fine now for a few hours but just want to make sure my rewards will hit my account.
-
@GabryRox when you choose new pool - you must set reward assighnment to the pool's address (wallet.burst-team.us/rewardassignment.html)
