Forum Ads

@daWallet @Leece couldn't agree more, ads on the faucets page is a great idea! I got used to the tons of ads on BTC faucets anyway :D
@haitch I see only one ad at the bottom of the page, using Chrome, no adblock whatsoever
-
@jonekk yeah two ads was too many, took it back to one.
@Leece If you do a refresh on Chrome do they show? Chrome will often stop showing them to me until I refresh.
-
@haitch but two ads=double revenue
-
@haitch this would honestly be one of the best influences on burst. just like the surfbar, the idea of advertisers paying in USD, EU, or whatever they pay in and then converting it to burst to pay to the asset holders would solidify Burst for a while as it would create necessary buy demand flow. I'm looking forward to this becoming a reality!

I'm with gpedro on this. I have chrome, no adblockers and I can't see the ads either. (good for me, but I can't click on the ads to help raise revenue because I can't see them either)
Another idea might be to put an ad or three on the faucets page? Let's face it, we're getting burst for free from the faucet page, I don't ads, but when it means I get something for free, I don't argue about it. I'll even click on the ads if it helps.
Just an idea to consider if you want to.
great idea!

I refreshed, but still no ads. Weird.
But thanks for the idea to refresh, I should have thought of that myself.

Same can't see any ad's
-
@mathew Even if you do a refresh ? Maybe the ads are geo linked, and there aren't any available for your region(s) at the moment.
-
That could very well be the case. I'm in Australia.
-
@haitch I'm in Portugal and never have seen any ads even refreshing the page... Although when you add the 2nd ad in the bottom of the page the spacer was bigger than before and now is shorter again... So maybe you are right when you say is nothing to show here... xD
I was wondering if this is the same problem that i have with my unhability to run the surfbar... with ebesurcher directally i couldn't see any ads too. Same with the firefox addon! I've tried with 3 Chrome versions, 2 Firefox versions, TOR, Epic, Oprah and IE... Only things that i've not tryed yet is use a VPN or a proxy (pretty sure that will not work), or test with the restarter...
But other rotators in the net i can run and that's all fine...
-
@gpedro I suspect with a VPN you'll be able able to run the SurfBar, and see the forum ads.

@haitch The asset for the excess ad revenue has been setup: ASSET ID - 14692463117907261266
As discussed it's going to be 100% of Ad Revenue - 33% for Tax Withholding - $50 for 50% of my hosting cost. Every thing over that goes to the asset.
Even though I haven't been paid by Adsense yet, I'll be putting up the $ amount equivalent to what Google owes me, and distributing that via the asset come Aug 1st. So get in quick !
This initial distribution (based on todays price for BTC and Burst) will be around 370,000 Burst.

I'll give it a try later...

I'm using chrome and if I can't see the ads I just refresh page and it shows.
-
Folks, I'm looking for feedback on the sidebar ad that's been added. Don't mind, Hate, don't care either way ?
-
Still can't see any ads on the forum, dunno why. I don't have ad blockers running. I'm using Chrome.
Not complaining, I just can't see them.
-
@Leece I'm, guessing geo-location, once the Google has applicable content for you though ......
-
I'm cool with that :)
-
@haitch Don't mind, don't care :)
