New Calculations

  • Re: [Real questions](real person)

I want to ask, if someone can calculate for me how profitable it is to mine at the moment

    I have a plotsize of 34 TB now , i have about 9 external (4TB) HDDS
    : http://www.rohling-express.com/rohlingexpress-p7091h1102s1104-Intenso-HDD-externe-.html

and 4 internal HDDS ( i dont know exactly the power usage of them or the name) (so calculate them like the other HDDS)

i need about 100 seconds to get the whole HDDS (34TB) read

For me one kWh costs 0,28€ in germany

I mine at burstmining.club under the Name : Hanftychoon

i was plotting a long time and now i started to join the pool again before 30mins

@Hanftychoon These calcs assume power usage above just having the PC turned on anyway. If your PC gets normally shut off, they'll be inaccurate.

An average HDD uses 4 watts when idle and about 8 watts when reading.

A hypothetical CPU used for mining will use 20 watts while idle and 80 watts while mining.

    So with 13 drives and 1 cpu, a mining round will use: ((13 * 4) + (1 * 60)) * 100. Which is 11,200 Watt/seconds, which is 0.003111 kwh. Assuming mining sticks to the expected average of 4 minutes per block, and mining 24 hours per day. We therefore have: 0.003111 * 15 * 24 = 1.12 kwh, so 0.3136€/day

  • thank you very much

i have an intel core 2 duo E6750 overclocked to 3.06 GHz
    4GB ram
    this pc is from 2006

i will buy a measuring unit , which will count my electricity usage per day , i will run it for one month and then i will post how much kWh i use per month.
