-
@EStel great job with the block!
-

Okay got 3 more (tears of joy) - So okay then, we need prolly 30 blocks a day to keep me happy. Get Crackin' miners!! If we need thirty, go out and get Forty!!
-
@falconCoin Thanks :) Really nice pool, I've been on the ninja, before its fall, then jumped to other two, but they were awful for a small size miner like me. This one so far seems the greatest for my expectations :P
-
@falconCoin , @haitch , how many block has this pool forged since startup? I put over 250TB on this pool almost 2 days ago and I think there was only 1 block hit. The mining calculator estimates, my size alone should be hitting about 2 blocks a day at 45PB difficulty. I've seen the diff up to 60 and down in the 30ies, so 45 is reasonable. That's just for my capacity. According to my calcs there is about 600TB on this pool. It should be hitting 5 blocks a day. I know that's an average but if it only hit 1 in the last 2 days, I think the setup should be checked out. Something's not right!!
-
@rds you have 250 TB? is that in a couple miners?
we will have to check with @haitch on this and see, i think we should be hitting more as well.
-
don't get why everyone is complaining, 1-2 days is a small sample size for not hitting any blocks, wait for like a week, if your not hitting crap. there's a reason it's called varience

I asked for how many blocks were hit. Waiting for the answer. I'm looking for a variance outside a 95% confidence interval. If the pool stats are outside that interval there is a 95% chance something is wrong. This pool doesn't have a track record, why wait for weeks to find out there is a problem when with a little bit of info and statistical analysis you can identify an issue now.

I have 3 miners running 250+ on your pool.

Hey again! I watched the pool dynamics and observed that my reward is dropping - an hour ago was 7 and something, now dropped to 6. Is there a reason of this?
-
@EStel Your historical rewards are based on 50 blocks history of DLs you sent... If your DLs get better you will earn more in the historical reward, if not you will get lower historical rewards...
-
@rds we will need to wait till @haitch can look at it sorry.
as far as blocks hit you can check out @zack 's sweet site

I realize this pool is cloned from another, functional pool, but I question if something was changed to bias this pool. I'm just brainstorming, but 6 blocks in over a week seems too low. I realize @haitch implemented this for you and believe me I have the utmost respect for him and his expertise. He has given me tons of knowledge about Burst and computers, networks, virtual machines, etc. That being said things can happen.
So your miner calculates a target then takes the base target and scales it to generate a DL. If the base target is misreported to the miner then your DL will be erroneously higher or lower than it should be. In the diagram below, the base target is shown in the miner boundary. In solo mining I can see that as your miner gets the base from the wallet. In pool mining, I believe the pool reports the base to the miner. On the surface it appears correct as I've compared base targets as reported by the miner page from this pool and other pools for the same block, they are all the same value. I'm not knowledgable enough to sniff this out but I'm asking is there any way a typo or mistake in a config file for the pool can cause the miner to display the correct base target for a block but the pool of the miner reports a DL that is scaled to be a longer than actual? I hope I made myself clear.

Edit, the diagram I pasted in didn't load, here is the link to it, halfway down the page:

@gpedro Thanks :)
