New Faucet - Arihan
-
Hi all i'm new around here just letting everyone know i setup a faucet yesterday at http://burstwallet.arihanc.com:81 If your struggling for some starting burst it gives out 3 burst. I also filled it with 200 of my burst to get going. Hopefully it will sustain itself now. If you do use it please try and make a donation once you get a payout so we can keep it running! :)
-
Dang. Its dry. Missed it. Now to hunt for that 1 elusive burst so i can at least start mining.
-
@Zillard Post your wallet ID on here and Im sure your quest for your first Burstcoins will be successfull very very soon.
-
@Marc Thanks Marc. i Received some from Socalguy. The peeps here are all great human beings.
-
Once i get my first mining payout ill put another 100 in :)
-
@arihan I think you should lower the faucet amount to 1 BURST each, and put as much security on it as you can for people to make multiple claims on multiple addresses.
Let me know when you lower the amount to 1, and I'll donate some.
-
@ryanw I have lowered it to 1 BURST now. It already checks for duplicate accounts and deny's them :)
-
I sent a 880 burst donation to help out. Good luck with your faucet. :)
-
@socalguy Oh very nice thanks so much. Hopefully it will help a lot of new people :)
-
@arihan Awesome. I'm not donating as much as Mr. Moneybags @socalguy sorry! Anything helps though I guess!
There are many ways for these to be abused...people can use proxy servers to get around it too.
Check out these two pages, maybe you would want to use them too.

@socalguy Seems my thoughts weren't making it all the way to my fingers...
-
@ryanw Hey thanks for the donation too! I have activated a blocking LIST. And i noticed that a couple of people where able to withdraw more than 1 times however hopefully that's been fixed too.
-
After someone new posted that they used their coin to set their name, I am thinking maybe 2 coins would be better....The tutorials all tell people to set their name, and then move on to mining, which will use up the coin that they get from the faucet. What does everyone else think? I was thinking we needed to be stingy with the coins to make sure as many people as possible can get started....
-
@ryanw Hmm 2 coins mean its 3 per person 2+1 fee. With current funds that roughly 283 payouts. Depends what others think. I could be ok with that i think. Anyone else any comment?

@arihan Thanks for hosting a faucet.
-
@luxe :) I guess its your code from the git hub? :) Would you mind if i moved the link to the github to just below the address and made the address link to a block explorer instead? I feel it would look nicer user-wise.
-
@arihan no i do not mind, you can also treat the jar like a zip archive and edit the html templates ... whatever you like.
Paths inside the jar are:
burstcoin-faucet-XXX.jar\BOOT-INF\classes\static\css\style.css
burstcoin-faucet-XXX.jar\BOOT-INF\classes\templates\index.html
