"Genesis block already in database"
-
Hey guys,
I'm trying to setup my Burstcoin mining computer. I get a notification in my Bat file that ''Genesis Block already in database''. It has to start the server but it takes for like 2 hours now.
Is it normal to take this long?

Does anyone know what to do?
Much love,
Jay

@Djowie That's normal and wallet is downloading blockchain.
You can access the wallet with http://127.0.0.1:8125 and check blockchain updates.
-
@Djowie you do not need a wallet to mine on a pool only if you are solo mining.

Is it also normal that it takes this long (over 2 hours now)? I cant reach the link you've added since it has to start the server I think.
@iKnow0 But I do need the client right?
-
@Djowie If you have the AIO wallet installed, you can mine even if the Blockchain has not fully completed downloading. At the bottom of the AIO client there is an option "Start Mining" click it to start a miner.

@iKnow0 oeh that looks much better, going to check it out tomorrow! Thanks!

Hope i can ask this question here since you helped me very good last week, thanks!
Now ive plotted my hard drives and when I want to start mining (ive watched this tutorial - link below). I only see the yellow part, my plotted drives but cant select them like in the printscreen ( last photo), its grey colored at my laptop. What am I doing wrong? Are the drives not plotted right? Is there something i'm missing?
Edit: so i only see this, and when I click on change reward assignment I see the second photo. But not like in the video..
I hope its clear, probably sounds chaotic AF. 🙈
