GPU mining while mining BURST?

@cretin said in GPU mining while mining BURST?:
So I have a AMD Ryzen 5 with 6 cores and a RX580 4gb.
Im mining burst using 30TB. For my plot size do I need to use a gpu-assisted miner such as Jminer?
And if I do, would I still be able to GPU mine another coin like ZEC or ETH?
Is it even worth it to mine another alt coin with my one GPU and if so what should I mine?
I want to maximize the profits coming from my computer as thats all I use it for.Sure you can, I am Burst mining, GPU mining and cpu mining. JUst leave one thread free on the cpu for reserve.

i thought that CPU would go through plotting like butter

"that" are you referring to the ryzen?
Depends on what ryzen and "which series" and if it is overclocked.
https://www.amd.com/en/ryzen-7
https://www.amd.com/en/ryzen-51800x overclocked @ 4GHz or more would rip through plotting.

@Hitti2 'm thinking of a 1700x build and would use it for plotting also, anyone got nonce numbers using Ryzen series cpus?
-
@Hitti2 yes i was referring to ryzen i'll probably get one in another 5 years lol they're not cheap to buy
-
-
@Hitti2 What size are your plot files? some of those read times seem insane (0.2s?!)
-
-
@Hitti2 Gotcha, some smaller plot drives :P I was thinking you have a bunch of storage with those seek times, so my mind was blown. Makes more since now.
Also, your plotting window...
If you expand the window (right-click the title bar -> properties -> layout) and increase the width of the screen buffer and window size, it won't go all ugly and keep spamming out those yellow percentage updates on every line. If you expand the window, it'll update the same line with percentages instead of making a new line for every one. Like this:

Cool tip :) Thanks.
