"Multi-solo" mining method with Raspberry Pi Controller
-
Ok guys I found out about this from my Verium friends but I don't see why this method couldn't work with Burstcoin.
NOTE: THIS METHOD REQUIRES A MINING PROGRAM WITH GETWORK SUPPORT
This method uses a Raspberry Pi as the host that will run the Burstcoin daemon/local wallet.
Setup your Raspberry Pi and download and install the Burst wallet, then sync the block chain (use a bootstrap, RPis take FOREVER to sync)
NOTE: THE WALLET MUST BE RUN LOCAL DO NOT USE THE ONLINE WALLET
In the Burstcoin config file you need to set up the daemon for solo mining and add rcpallowip-192.168.1.* (or whatever your local network IP scheme is) and make sure to put an asterisk in the last octet to allow connections from all miners (this gives you roughly 253 addresses for miners)
Don't forget to set your Rpcusername and Rpcpassword
Then setup your miners and instead of pointing them at a pool or whatever replace your miner configs with "-o HOSTIPADDRESS:BURSTMININGSOLOPORT -O RPCUSER:RPCPASS"
After starting your miners they should connect to your host Pi running the daemon and switch to getwork. They should then start hashing (bursting?). Congrats you are now solo mining multiple devices/miners to one consolidated Burst wallet
I haven't tested this method yet but I will and update here with the results

These are the steps to setup solo mining for burstcoin
run local wallet
sync your clock
change miner.conf:
"Mode" : "solo",
"Server" : "localhost",
"Port": 8125,
"UpdaterAddr" : "localhost",
"UpdaterPort": "8125",
"InfoAddr" : "localhost",
"InfoPort": "8125",NOTE: I'm not sure if leaving server updateraddr and infoaddr as localhost will have an effect on the miners connecting to your host or if these instances of "localhost" need to be replaced with your actual host IP, I will update when I test it

DISCLAIMER POST
First off, I know one of the main advantages to this method are negated by Burstcoins ability to designate which plot is associated to which account (by way of your Numeric ID input into the plot generator batch file) but I still figured it's something fun and constructive to do so why the hell not.
Also I'm not liable for any damages or lost coins you may suffer from trying this method, especially before I can test it myself.
