what does this mean?
-
@cretin
you didn't setup your pool properly
go back and set your pool, make sure your port number is correct when you do
-
@cretin That can mean 1 of 4 things:
1 - You didn't setup your reward assignment;
2 - You didn't set up the reward assignment correctly
3 - Your reward assignment didn't go throught yet;
4 - You don't have the pool set up correctly in the miner (verify if the port and address are correct).

@gpedro ----Fast block or corrupted file?----
Sent deadline: 2778091
Server's deadline: 17568316822098This appears on sometimes, are my plots corrupted?
-
@cretin Thats one possible reason ... 2nd possible reason is, that in between your commit and the pool response a new round started. 3rd possible reason is that the mining info the miner received was from a forked block and meanwhile the pool got the correct one but miner still working with old mining info.

@cretin if you use latest 0.4.10 version of jminer ... set 'debug=true' and the miner will log the name of the 'corrupted' plotfile ... if that file shows up over and over again with 'Not confirmed', it is most likely corrupted and you should delete and replot that one.
If you only get this NOT confirmed ... maybe every 20-30 blocks or something ... it may be one of the other reasons i mentioned above and you can't do anything until miners at least are able to handle the 3rd ... not sure if other miners can, jminer can not handle it yet.

@luxe I'm using the wallets miner currently, trying to figure out how to setup jminer lol, its about every 10-15 blocks
-
@cretin
download: https://github.com/de-luxe/burstcoin-jminer/releases
setup: https://github.com/de-luxe/burstcoin-jminer/wiki/configure-jminer.properties
i also added infos/help in the jminer.properties file itself:
https://github.com/de-luxe/burstcoin-jminer/blob/master/jminer.default.propertiesBut in your case everything seams ok, you could check if you have less issues with other pools, too.

-
@cretin The deadline is the time in seconds until you will win the current block ... on pool mining you earn shares depending on the deadline height, even if you don't win the block. If round is over, time is up and someone else won.
-
@luxe ok ok, so if my computer times out and my miner goes down am I still earning on the block? also, I'm mining on burst neon, what pool should I use for my 30TB
-
@cretin you should read into the FAQ to get more basic understanding https://forums.burst-team.us/topic/301/mining-101
You only earn shares if your miner is running.With 30TB you could take whatever pool you want, i just wanted to say that you could try if you have less issues with another ... maybe watch burstcoin.cc and find out what pools are mostly stable/up-to-date ... e.g. neon is currently stuck.
-
@luxe ok perfect, your very helpful. so I setup jminer except for the opencl which I couldnet figure out. But when I run it it opens for a split second and closes??
-
@cretin add a new line in the run.bat file that contains 'pause', so the window will not close and you can see the error message causing it to close.
-
@luxe I'm not seeing this
-
@luxe is there anyway I can hop on a video call or direct chat with you please, I think I just messed up my plots by deleting the folders they were in..
-
@cretin You got PM
-
Error: Submit nonce to pool not successful: {"result":"Passphrase does not match reward recipient"
I now get this when mining on jminer
