Am I mining right? not seeing many coins. (noob)
-
@mrgoldy For his capacity there's no way 70 coins is right. Here are the books from my Asset https://1drv.ms/x/s!AmlvuwZj_60hbx02tsN-dD7c3EQ Look at Asset Payouts and mining. I started out with 1 1TB and than kept adding more 8TB and am at 25TB total now. I never had a week that bad even when I had 1TB.
-
@cretin Not sure. If you use xplotter to plot you can resume and you'll know if it never finished. Mining at http://burstneon.ddns.net/
-
@newsense2004
Thanks, I was looking at http://burstneon.ddns.net/ waiting for my 8TB to finish plotting
I'm currently at http://pool.burstcoin.party/same thought as @cretin that as I'm plotting my mining went down, but not sure if that's true
-
yes, it shows they are all full. what pool are you mining on? thank you for the help. I get a confirmed DL around every 5 blocks and its usually around two days. Is that slow?
-
@mrgoldy I personally plot with xplotter using cpu and mine with jminer using gpu as to not kill all my resources.
-
@newsense2004
Yeah, I'm new to all this (burst and crypto in general), so I'm just using the AIO and had haitch walk me thru how to setup the xplotter manually for my 8TB plot so I could change my thread count when I need to
-
@mrgoldy Welcome to the community and crypto. I was in the same boat as you almost a year ago. Didn't even start mining until about 2 months ago.
-
thanks, I meant what pool though
-
Put me down as a fan of xplotter IF you have an i7 (more threads=more nonces/sec). I use 6 threads which makes the computer still very usable while doing 13k nonces/sec. As mentioned if the computer restarts xplotter will start where it left off.
I use poolofd32th.club and have gotten way more payout per day than you got so far.
-
@newsense2004 what pool
-
@ScreamIndevnull
also have an i7, but at all 8cores, about 10Knonces/sec
I run the 6 cores when I'm working during the day, and then kill it and change it to 8cores at night.I've found my biggest hindrance to performance is changing the RAM setting in xplotter, I have it set to 3GB when at 6 cores, and then 6GB when at 8cores.
and I've gotten mixed reviews about what the RAM setting actually does in xplotter though.
-
@cretin He's mining at http://burstneon.ddns.net:8124
-
@mrgoldy same here. I still don't know the right mix.
-
I never really saw much of a difference with ram settings personally. I usually just let it use 3GB.
-
@mrgoldy I just installed 24GB of ram today, how can I make this useful to me? Should I be using the wallets miner or Jminer or anything else? I have a RX580 4gb GPU
-
@cretin
I think one of the more experienced people should answer that, I just started a few weeks ago and am figuring out myself what is best for plotting and mining.
-
Just started mining at burst neon. Hopefully that helps me see some ROI

what does this mean?
-
@cretin
you didn't setup your pool properly
go back and set your pool, make sure your port number is correct when you do
-
@cretin That can mean 1 of 4 things:
1 - You didn't setup your reward assignment;
2 - You didn't set up the reward assignment correctly
3 - Your reward assignment didn't go throught yet;
4 - You don't have the pool set up correctly in the miner (verify if the port and address are correct).
