Some stuff i had to clear i guess

@rds Yes, people were/are dumping shares to cash out of Burst. Despite the increase of Burst value, the US$ value of my asset portfolio as calculated by burstfolio.com took a big hit - Burst is way up, but the portfolio value went down.
-
@haitch , but I read people saying that the divs on assets dried up? Why?
-
@rds Assets that don't earn their income in Burst but instead trade Altcoin X for Burst, are going to be paying out significantly fewer Burst, even though it's the same fiat value. Assets that earn directly in Burst, like mining assets, however, will continue to payout the same amount of Burst, which is a significantly higher fiat value.
Assets like mine and Focus's Flex which are based on a mixture of assets will do ..... I don't know, time will tell.
-
@rds Problem is people often want to ROI in terms of Burst and not in USD value, and when payout becomes smaller in Burst it takes more and more time to ROI.
-
@haitch , ok, got it, but until I can buy my bread at the grocery store with Burst, the fiat value is what counts and the divs are still paying the same fiat value, so I don't see the big concern. Markets move always, this one is no different.
-
@rds it's an investor education thing to show them they're still getting the same fiat ROI as they were, but also the realization that they would have gotten a much higher profit if they'd just held the Burst instead of investing in an asset.

HAha, it's always easy to see what should have been done after the fact, that' why they call me Capt. Hindsight :)
-
@rds Yep, if we all knew what the market was going to do, we'd all be friggin' rich.
-
@rds , here's an exercise in hindsight:
Last week or so ago I took ~$3600 in USD, converted it into BTC at price who cares and immediately bought Burst at 177 sats. I sent that Burst to someone who I was buying an item from him (you know who/what I'm referring to). Today, at Burst=500 sats, did I pay 500/177*3600=$10,000? Also, if the seller converted the Burst to fiat anywhere between the 177 and 500 did he lose value? I say no to both. I took fiat I didn't have invested in Burst to exchange for an item. The seller ultimately wanted the Burst for fiat to pay for something else, the fact that either of us could have made out better than we did is only a matter of hindsight.
-
@rds I would say nothing to do with hindsight and everything to do with a ridiculous exchange risk taken by the two of you on this journey from $ - BTC - Burst - BTC - S
Rich :-)
-
anyone who didn't see a collapse of the asset exchange when the value of burst is pumped, is blind...this is market correction at work...i sold all my assets not miners, pools or casino a few weeks ago ...
-
@haitch that's the thing some ppl did know and now are Rich
-
I would like to point out that this time last year we were at 43 satoshi.
Imagine where we will be a year from now with a nice, steady, and investor friendly increase.
-
@socalguy that would be the optimal goal. the nice stable increase not these fucking pumps. a coin like this can't got fucking 12x in a few months, hence why i did what i did
i'm all for the price increase. it needs to increase, but not like this
-
That would be the ultimate goal. Yet I'm not going to try and keep it suppressed. If it wants to go past 1000 satoshi, who am I to judge.
For the record, I disagree with what you tried to do. That was a bad call on your part imo. The market should always flow with what the traders believe the value should be. Not because of a few traders.
Lesson learned I'm not going to lose sleep over it. :)
-
@socalguy i respect that view
I also respect the fact that the community pointed out my mistake and understood. I now realize it as well. Who the hell am i to interfere ? At the end of the day, i shouldn't care and i won't.
For everyone reading this, i apologize. I was wrong.
As far as adam goes forcing crow into that video... well , prepare your anus fat man and next time have the balls to come at me right onThat being said, time to focus on my baby. we have shit to do in 402 :)
-
@nameless What you did wasn't wrong, it was misguided. You did what you thought was right for the community, on behalf of the community.
I'm sorry you, Crow and others got so burnt in this action. As I said it was misguided, but I understand it was done with good, even noble, intentions.
That said, seeing as you're banned over there - make this the GO TO place for 402, and carry on making this asset even more awesome. The AE will recover, but we need to find a way to better educate investors.
-
@haitch , thank you
I'm actually not banned on BN - only my threads got shut down lol . But i left anyway
We all need to work on the investor education part. I think i'll start a series of videos very soon
-
@nameless @socalguy there is a common misconception that altcoins has a free market, the harsh reallity is all altcoins are controlled by someone with deep pockets. It way to lucrative of an oportunity to not be used.
-
@nameless Not banned? Wow - I got banned and had my post deleted when I corrected Adam on facts about me. You not getting banned for "Conspiring" against him is surprising, and interesting. And I like investigating interesting things ......
But just to say again - you will not be shutdown or censored here.
