Some stuff i had to clear i guess

@nameless From an Asset POV let's not loose sight of the fact that Burst related Assets like Mining, which have come in for some stick over time, are now churning out some good returns.
Just from a personal POV my 80TB has gone from £10 a Week to £100 which is a hell of an increase.

@haitch , not even sure what to feel about the whole thing any more. there are so much things pointed out to me that show i was wrong. If that is the case, i appologize.
either way, i'll never stop doing what i do and look out for my asset and my investors, and hopefully BURST overall.

true. but what about this time next year when block reward will be 500 coins or something like that?
all assets regardless need time to adjust to the price imo. pumps like this are not healthy
-
especailly when every asset is going haywire with this price, I will hope for a stable price soon instead of this pump and dump all the time.
-
@nameless I agree, but in the doom and gloom of Assets being hit it's good that even in the short term some benefit, although you would not realise that from the Mining Asset related prices. It shows that the system is working that there are winners and losers as opposed to everyone loses.

@nameless You did what you thought was best for the whole community. Everyone tends to do what they believe is best - you were correct in your assessment of what the price increase would do to the AE - but that shows us we need to better educate investors so than can correctly asses the assets they are invested in or considering investing in.
I'm not going to judge your actions, and doubt anyone else here will. If others do, well, that's their problem.
-
thanks for explaining... and being banned over this is inevitable for anyone that wakes up a little ... what upsets me is not only that i bought shares in the 7 and 800's because i HAVE To have a supply of Burst.
Is that the way it was presented in that other video, i know i did not lose anywhere near most of you but any loss is a loss and it sucks.
this shows something needs to be figured out about this asset exchange to avoid these type of issues,, what code is it done in @haitch ?
-
@falconCoin Not sure I understand the question ......
-
@haitch the asset exchange, is it something that can be worked on? and if so what language is it in?
-
@falconCoin It's part of the wallet, so is coded in Java, but what changes are you looking to make? The massive devaluation is a human issue, not a technical one.
-
@nameless whats going on with this account and TAC shares?

nothing new. everything will go as planned... sit back and watch

I think we all need to realise that we are on a massive and rapid learning curve. If you invest in the Stock-market there is a lot of history to look back on and most things that happen have happened before.
We are dealing with tiny market caps here, many of the investors are inexperienced and being Internet based things can change at the speed of light. In hindsight everything is "obvious" however in prospect a lot of the issues and outcomes have not been predicted.
Just imagine if the value of the Dollar was to increase 10 fold in a matter of Days, yes there would be some very happy people, but there would also be a lot of Blood on some Streets.
I think that Assets will develop and some will survive and some will not, but the next time we have some big price changes people will be less surprised and will have better diversified portfolios able to cope.

@haitch yeah i thought of that after posting... tough job figuring all this in creating a asset

I think this is why my asset has seen minimal devaluation - it's distributed over a large number of underlying assets some of which will continue to earn the same amount of Burst, keeping the fiat value of payouts the same or even improved.
The rest is investor education - yes a sudden increase in the value of Burst will mean that with many assets you'd have been better off holding the Burst, but they're still earning the same ROI as when they invested. They lost potential profit, the asset ROI should remain unchanged.
-
What it boils down is into the reasoning "If i would of kept burst i would of profited". That is is very flawed thinking, there is no "IF" you either invest or you dont. It would be the same as crying why you didnt invest in apple shares 20 years back.
What we can do is try to educate AE users in ways of investment and thats where its worth listening to @nameless @RichBC who has experience in these things ;)
-
Burst finding it hard to hold onto 600 at the moment. If it breaks we could be back to 500 or lower?
Rich
-
@nameless why is the video gone i was just about to watch it
-
@RichBC yep my NXT is helping right now for sure! lol the game coins too.. so glad i diversified last week
-
@falconCoin , it's gone because someone already tried to come at me. i was talking live on skype to a few people and my shields notified me of unauthorized breach attempts lol
showing people how much money i stand on top of is dangerous... the more people know, the more will try and come after those funds. making that video was a risk i wish i didn't have to take, but a necessary one none the less
unfortunately for the benefit of 402 and investors, i took it off. the majority of people have already seen it.
