Not sure if I'm doing this right :(

@rds I need to see the exact in bytes and the plotfile name - I suspect it's trying to plot beyond the end of the drive.
Look at the beginning of the thread, it looked ok to me, 19075526 * 262144 bytes/nonce is 5E12 bytes. The 5TB drive is a little more than that. He started the file with the -n0 parameter to get the # of nonces.
-
@rds I cant select that check box.... for some reason... don't know why :S .... I'm doing something on AOEMI but im not even sure it quite correct... Here's an SS
-
@rds Looking at one of my 5TB drives, it has a single plot file, with # nonce = 19,073,792 - that drive has 768KB of free space. For his plot with 1,734 extra nonces, his 5TB drive would need to be 454MB bigger than my 5TB drives. That's why I wanted the exact number of bytes.

I can't read spanish, but you need to delete all partition first. Then run the HD pro tests, then go back to the formatting.
-
Sorry hehehe.... It says deleting the partitions... (didn't know it had partitions in it in the first place) Is it normal that this procedure takes some time? just so i can know if im doing it correctly
-
@TellezMiotta , no, it should take no more than 30 secs. The program estimates the time, what did it say?
-
Ok... it literally took the whole night BUT I think i deleted the partitions on the hard drive.... is this how it should look like?
For some reason i'm still not able to apply a write test... but this is how the read test looks
When i try to do a write test it still says that i have to delete all the partitions to make the test but why? if supposedly i have deleted all the partitions on the drive :S
Please help :S
-
Also... I no longer see the hard drive on the windows explorer ... don't know why? did i do something wrong?
-
-
Ok i restarted the rig and I can't see the hard drive anywhere on windows o.O
-
-
ok, the drive looks good. Follow the next step. You need to format it, assign a drive letter, and then reformat to 64k cluster (optional but preferred for plot files).

I think i already formated it... (im not sure) I tried to plot it again via .bat file and kep giving me the same error.... I'm plotting via GUI now :S it's the only way that it works aparently.... here's an ss
-
If you already formatted it, how could you not know? Can you see it in windows explorer? Is it assigned a drive letter? Come on??
At 1371 n/min that 1/tb file will take you about 4 days, be patient.
-
@rds Yes.... I can see it on windows and it has a letter assigned to it... do, yes?
-
Ok.... I can wait 4 days as long as I can keep mining ETH....
-
Ok guys... somethings I consider important to share in here (maybe the more experienced guys know it already but anyhow)
-
When trying to plot via .bat it didn't worked because you recommended me to user Xplotter_avx.exe .... My processor is a celeron... according to this article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advanced_Vector_Extensions my processor does not support AVX (I didn't even know what was AVX until now) ... when plotting via GUI I now realized that it was plotting via sse (which I don't know what that stands for either)
-
I already plotted my first 1TB and plotting the 2nd while mining burst and eth at the same time... I have found some DL... like every 5 or 6 rounds (on .eu is that for enough?)
-
-
SSE - Streaming SIMD Extensions - advanced math operations the CPU supports. Much better than what came before, but not as good as AVX.
Every 5-6 rounds is low for .EU, but will increase as you plot more. How much do you have plotted so far ?
-
Im plotting with just 1TB plotted..... meanwhile plotting the 2nd terabyte ....
-
Ok! I have two plots already! So... what should I do? Should I plot a third file (1tb size) or should I optimize the ones that I already have?
Can I keep mining ETH and Burst while optimizing plots as well? :) Thanks in advance! :D
