Burst Blockchain DDL - Updated Regular every 24h (Zipped)
-
@haitch Downloaded but now I when I click on the bat file it crashes, to fast to read but the wallet doesnt start up
-
@theapple0 Maybe another instance is running. Restart your machine, make sure that your /burst_db folder has only one DB inside... (one big file) and start the wallet.
-
I'm getting a 404 error when I try to use your db link at the top. Is there a new link?
-
@Propagandalf Try again, its up for me
-
@Propagandalf The db zip is there, very recently zipped - you might have hit the link as it was zipping up the file.
-
@haitch Thanks, you must be right! I'm currently downloading it now.
-
how do i install the DLC?
i've downloaded it, what am i supposed to do after?
the file in the zip is in a db format, which i can't open.
-
@cccorp
1 - close Burst Wallet (check in the tray!)
2 - extract those files to: %AppData%\Roaming\BurstWallet\burst_db (AppData folder is hidden!)
3 - When asked if you want to replace the files say yes...
4 - reopen your wallet and all should be allright!!
-
sorry im a newbie in doing this,
i can open the wallet, whats the relations with the dlc patch and wallet?
Currently im plotting my drive
-
@cccorp what do you mean by dlc patch? this is the blockchain of Burst, where all transactions are stored since the beggining of this coin, you don't need this to mine in a pool neither to access your wallet in online mode, you will only do this if you cannot run the local wallet (and of course if you want to run it) and for some reason in less than 8 hours your wallet doesn't fully auto sync the whole blockchain... To mine solo you will need to have a syncronized local wallet!

-
I am not able to visit db.burst-team.us? Anyone else?
-
@BurgerBaron The download is currently down while the wallet re-syncs. It'll be backup once that's complete.
-
@haitch ok thanks!
-
Just a heads up @haitch : blockchain download page is showing error 404 again...
https://forums.burst-team.us/topic/1475/blockchain-download-link-downMaybe it's not a bad idea do some other mirrors for this download. if you can we can setup a page on burstcoin.pt too
-
@gpedro It's an issue with how I'm currently doing it - every 24 hours the wallet is force closed, and the DB zipped up. Sometimes though that force close corrupts the DB and the zip - and I need to resync. Because of the forking issues we've had, I'm not going to copy another wallets DB here - it's a from scratch resync.
I'm going to change the way the wallet gets shutdown so hopefully it won't corrupt it. I will be setting up another mirror, but it won't be on the machne that run the faucets, it's already busy enough.

@haitch You knows the best man...

I too am having trouble with burst-team wallet download and installation. I have several questions:
- Where to download '.zip' in Ubuntu 14.04 - which file?
- Looking at 'Readme.txt' and it says to "...open conf/nxt-default.properties" and add ':8125' to my ip address on line "nxt.myAddress=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:xxxx"; where does one find the 'ip'.
I have several other questions, but this will get me started. If this discussion has been done, can someone point me in the right direction? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks again.

@vadirthedark The .zip gets unzipped into <your wallet dir>/burst_db
The xx.xx.xx.xx in the the example gets replaced with your address - easiest way to find it is to go to www.ipchicken.com

Thanks for the info haitch. But is there a perfect place for the wallet dir such as bin, root, home, etc.? I have four drives (1st HDD, 2nd HDD, an SSD and the last one just added 5TB for burst mining. I placed on 1st HDD my personal files and named one Crypto and added Burst to that. I downloaded and unzipped the wallet v1.2.6 .zip to burst. The installation suggests "we click on the scritpt "run.sh" housed in the generated folder called burst_1.2.6, ..." Then point browser to http://localhost:8125/index.html". When I run the localhost I get an Unable to connect error. I made the 'burst_1.2.6' folder for 'run.sh'. I need a little hand holding for this. Is there a step 1, step 2, step 3, etc. guide? What should be done first-second-third, tring to do all the suggestions at the same time without an ordered list is confusing.
Can you help with this?
