@HiDevin I may have a better option as far as drives. I will post an update soon. The funds from the asset sales have never left the wallet. All there. I ordered the purposed drive with my own money but canceled it due to a possibly better deal.

What do investors and potential investors think of this drive? https://www.amazon.com/Seagate-External-Desktop-Storage-STEL8000100/dp/B01HD6ZLQ6/ref=sr_1_11?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1490711592&sr=1-11&keywords=seagate+external+hard+drive
-
only difference I see between the one in my previous post and this one https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01HAPGEIE/ref=twister_B00UWL08GI?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 are the USB ports.
-
@newsense2004 why dont u buy the one https://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B01HAPGEIE/ref=dp_olp_all_mbc?ie=UTF8&condition=all
and also its from amazon warehouse, I bought this one and the packaging is damaged but it works perfectly like a new one :D

I sent the funds from asset sales to polo while the price of Burst is high for liquidation. The funds will go towards one of these drives, https://www.amazon.com/Seagate-Expansion-Desktop-External-STEB5000100/dp/B01HAPGEIE/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1490764208&sr=1-1&refinements=p_36%3A1253506011%2Cp_89%3ASeagate&th=1 or https://www.amazon.com/Seagate-External-Desktop-Storage-STEL8000100/dp/B01HD6ZLQ6/ref=sr_1_5?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1490764729&sr=1-5&refinements=p_36%3A1253506011%2Cp_89%3ASeagate Asset holders and potential investors please let me know which you prefer. As the asset sales so far do not cover the cost of the drive I will be paying the balance.

What are you plotting with? It could seriously take forever to plot that 8tb drive. I'm seeing 4tb sata drives going for under $90 on Ebay. Seen a couple used laptop 1tb ssd's go for under $40. The cheaper you build the higher the ROI. If I'm correct you live in the Chicago area? Craiglist probably filled with goodies up there.
-
@Dillion I got a decent IBuyPower gaming rig. specs are in the OP. I have a computer I built a few years ago I might might plot with in the future.
-
@newsense2004 Cool, I would highly recommend getting the other pc up and ready now. Use the fastest plotter to plot while the other one is mining at the same time.
-
@Dillion That is the plan. I don't want to take the current miner down but I like order and good cable management. I might have to do that to make this neat and tidy but if I have to I will throw a few hundred Burst in the Asset wallet to compensate for any downtime. If it comes to that I will post here before I do so.

This drive https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01HD6ZLQ6/ref=od_aui_detailpages00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 was just purchased for the asset. Should arrive Sunday.
-
@newsense2004 congrats! I can't wait for it to come in man. this 1 eth deposit on poloniex is grinding my gears because i can't invest into any assets rn without my rx 480 mining .=.

UPDATE
I have an 8TB HDD on it's way to add to the miner and I am almost finished with the books for the asset/miner as well as a website where everyone can view this information.
Thanks, Newsense.
-
@newsense2004 can't wait for the 8tb drive and that spreadsheet of the profit and etc :P
-
@newsense2004 I should be getting about 300 burst a day to get about 30 shares a day, so ill try to cover the cost too since u cant advertise on BN
-
Thanks @HiDevin. Asset sales are a bit slow now but once the drives start arriving I expect that to change. Also looking at ways to bring in some extra Burst just to increase dividend payouts a little until than.
-
@newsense2004 it just feels bad because u can't advertize on BN without getting slandered by the admins :(
-
I got started on my books and they will be available on the NewMiner website once it is up. The books are nowhere near complete as I still need to add a few pages. The numbers are not too impressive but this was expected. A new 8TB drive will be plotted very soon and as I said I am looking into other streams of income for the asset as well as buying more drives myself. Once the Asset picks up we can use the currently postponed 20% towards other investments. https://1drv.ms/x/s!AmlvuwZj_60hb58yBCdKuOvZsWk

@newsense2004 looks good, seems typical for a normal 1 TB HDD about 200-300 BURST a week, don't know why BN was slandering u about it though, probably because they thought ur asset was like a crowdfund

I understand. I explained the idea that the more assets that were sold the bigger the asset would grow and as that happened I would continue to back it as well. Between asset sales and my contribution we will soon have a total of 9TB mining. I really thank you for your support.
