How to get live data into Google Sheets
-
@vprf Thank you! I hope to have this feature by tmr!!
-
@Edu Great. Just a suggestion it might be nice to use the last sale price if you can (instead of the Bid or Ask).
-
@vprf True, makes more sense! If i manage to automatically import that info it would be great!!
-
you are awesome man nice work!!

How to get live data into Google Sheets
Hey @vprf, I followed all instructions in the video, but it did not work. I'm trying to get the info off the http://asset.burstnation.com/, but it seems to not have 'tables' or 'lists'. I also tried the ImportXML function, played around a bit as i only have very basic programing skills... still no success.
If anyone knows how to do this, please let me know, or if you would be willing to do it for 1 asset, I can learn from your example go forward and do it for all the others...
-
This is really cool, love it thank you for the hard work.
-
@Edu hey :) could you tell me what information you need to get? i could put onto my server a script to fetch data from some online wallet and parse it to what ever you need :)
-
@Edu you know, I think what you are doing is awesome. Yet, I think you might reveal some things, about certain assets. Please keep going :)

The idea was get the last sale price from each asset automatically into the google sheet and use that to calculate the ROI. Today I calculate the ROI based on the lowest ask price. And update the lowest ask price manually once a day.

@Edu i use nxt api for getting information, refer this https://wallet.burst-team.us:8126/test . may need to use a method to decode the json reply and put in to excel
-
@sleepy I checked the link, but dont know how to use it :(
-
@Edu https://wallet.burst-team.us:8125/burst?requestType=getAllAssets
just construct the url according to your requirement
-
@Edu another example is https://wallet.burst-team.us:8125/burst?requestType=getAsset&asset=6037211370250490240
getting asset info about hsassets asset
To get the ask orders https://wallet.burst-team.us:8125/burst?requestType=getAskOrders&asset=6037211370250490240
-
@sleepy Thank you for the info! I will take my time and look into it the next few days! Hopefully I'll get it work! Thanx again!!
-
Yeah, if you can't tell, I am pretty old school. API's are the way to go now if you can do it. Saves a lot of time having to manually input the data.
-
@Edu if thats the only thing you need its really simple :) tho as to not call the api every time i can make something that would request that data and you can just copy/paste it into the sheet (otherwise it would get rewriten with latest sell/buy price)
-
I got it to work! Now my Sheet displays the last negotiated price for each asset, and uses that price to calculate the ROI!!
How did I do it? Importing data from an AWESOME Sheet made available by the User: ExUs from the other forum. You should check out his sheet here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/10C-VQUeFG46inyPRbdIiP0Iaqd2BcM3trw6fqs6uSnM it is really cool!!
-
@Edu I wrote a code in python to get info about assets owned , just take a look https://forums.burst-team.us/post/54290

Beautiful job. Can't tell y'all how great this tool is.
