gpedro's Letter to the community about BBrowser

I'm sorry to hear this bud. :(
-
Sad... it was a good Idea.
-
@gpedro Very sad to read this. This is however not the first time there has been an "Inside Job" https://forums.burst-team.us/topic/2149/updated-robbed-an-inside-job
I made this suggestion after the MaidToBurst incident.
@RichBC said in [Updated] Robbed !!! An inside job!:
@Paladin Sorry to hear of your problems, but great that you have found a way forward. Makes you wonder if Burst needs some sort of Multi Signature, such that with an account or asset that is managed & owned by several individuals it could be set up for everyone to sign?
I have no idea on the practicalities of setting up a Multi Signature Account, but perhaps it could be looked into before we have another incident?

@RichBC You mean a history linked with a user account right?
If so that is a good idea... Besides the passphrase can be setted up a password to each user and that password be needed to do every transaction... I like that idea, and it has more uses than shared accounts, for instancem protect your account with more than one password... This is a good idea although idk how exactly this can be done since it has to be an external private key since we already have the private key from the passphrase...

He had shown his real name several times and even a picture of himself. Do you have informations on his location ?
-
@gpedro Thanks for the clarification :/
-
@gpedro dude as someone who's been stolen from as well, twice! All I can say bro is don't give up, and don't trust anyone keep everything valuable and hold on to it for dear life.
This is always easier said then done right, as I know how relationships develop between friends, but when money is involved no one and I mean no one is your friend, a lesson I learned the hard way
Sorry to hear this happened, and Thst some people have no honor, You will bounce back and push forward I just. Know you will

sorry to hear that, may be thats why people are scared with digital money

@Gadrah_ The only information i have on his location is Bartley, UK and was got from his IP so it could be a VPN (not sure) although i have the certain that he is from UK since we spoke many times through voice calls and he has an UK accent... I also have a picture of him saved in here but like i said before @mikemike has his documents as far as i've been told so if you guys want information on him i can try to get it or you guys can contact @mikemike asking him to DOX Jack if you want...
@dagentlemang you are right, i should never trust him, even if in this case was his project so in fact was him that trusted me the passphrases but since the asset have been based in my reputation probably i should had been the only one holding the passphrases to protect investors and myself, but yeah what is done it's done and we can't do nothing about this now... i will not give up ofc, bro! This affected me, i will not say the contrary but if it was my account i would really get affected and probably quit crypto could be a decision on the table but since that is not the case i am here to stay and still trying to think in a way of get something back to investors, still not sure how exactly but i'm sure i will come out with something (not enough to cover all the losses for sure but still something)...
@sleepy yes indeed is a scary aspect of crypto... In fact the real currency in crypto world is trust...!

How do we know the information he gave is even real? Having a fake ID (and/or photo) isn't hard these days :/ did someone saw him in Skype?
-
@Zeus Actually i was thinking just that but his Whatsapp have the same image taken like a selfy and the other image of him i have was taken when he received some kind of a prize and in both of them his look is the same although different photos...
I never had a video chat with him, no... As far as i know his name is Jack Coble but you are right, have fake IDs is not that hard these days...
-
@gpedro Ok yeah that helps :) having more than one photo reduce the risk of a fake identity ^_^
I had one case at the casino where a person send me an age verification, it was a photo of him holding the ID, and everything seemed fine, I asked him that I will only accept seeing him in Skype and him saying he is this username at the casino, he didn't want that and I needed to do more research, at the end I find out he was using a friend to fake his age.
Got another one that needed to verify him because of this huge wins he had, he sent me a picture taken from a google search lol!!!
-
@Zeus LOL google search is good xD
EDIT: @Zeus i runned a image search with the images i got and i didn't got any results... In facebook, and linkedin i wasn't able to get his profiles...
-
This is real sad news... If he did it, I hope he is found and goes to jail for it. If not, let his family know what he did and his workplace if he has one.
-
He unfriended me from steam a little bit ago, and I didn't understand why. I guess this is it :/
-
I was traveling for work, so, I'm just seeing this. As I was invested in this asset, I followed Jack on Twitter. I have had my suspicions, so that goes back to my posts asking for updates but in looking at his profile now, it appears he completely deleted all his old tweets and started over. His profile is @JackManMania_ and it also appears he is just now "learning how to code" based off his last pics...
-
@CryptoBuc thanks for that info... I don't use twitter so i didn't got that information but looking at it his last post was 9 hours ago and it appears that he is now learning how to code in PHP if i look at his tweets...
His picture in twitter shows he is the same person i have in the pic i have in my PC and that he use in Whatsapp... All of these 3 pictures are different (different angles and contexts)
@ccminer left him a reply saying that he should come back here and clean a bit his name although i don't even know if that is possible because every day that goes by it looks he is less and less interested in BURST...
I think we all should go there and polute his twitter so people know what this guy did to all of us... For anyone willing to do that, here is his twitter: https://twitter.com/JackManMania_
EDIT: i tried and left a comment and a tweet but it doesn't show in there... Maybe he have to accept it first idk, again this is my first time using twitter :(

Who is responsible for putting 200.000 shares on the AE for sale at 1 Burst each? Does the scammer still have access? I thought gpedro was able to access this account as well which is how he moved what was left out to the safe account...
Would an admin please put the BBrowser materials in the scam folder above so no one gets screwed even more on this? Further, if anyone has the personal info on Jackman would they please publish it here?
-
@AndrewDD It's been moved now.
-
@haitch many thanks!..@gpedro ...would still like to hear how 200.000 shares are for sale right now on the AE...
