How DO I mine Using GPU

  • Hello Burst Memember,
I plotted 2 different 2 TB hard drive to mine Burst coins using Burst window wallet but I want to mine using my GPU please I need help . I want the GPU to mine using 2 different 2TB Hard drives on my PC.

    Thanks

  • U can use jminer or just simply use the Burst Client for Windows. u should have an option to choose OpenCL

  • @pr0cesor Which one is best to mine burst coin CPU or GPU since burstcoin is majorly HDD mining ?
2nd please how can I mnie with 2 different HDD on my PC I have plot them already but I don't understand how the 2 HDD work together

    Regards

  • @goldshidlfx

    1. GPU read the drives faster :3.
    2. U just need to add the location of the 2 drives in the jminer file settings.

  • @pr0cesor How can I mine Burst without using Burst client for window I wan to run batch file to mine. I have plotted the HDD with burst client

@goldshidlfx The AIO client combines different software, all parts of it ... plotting, wallet and mining are also available without AIO. So the plots created with AIO do not differ to plots created with the underlying software alone.
    Choose your miner here https://forums.burst-team.us/category/47/mining
On mining 4TB it makes no difference if you mine with CPU or GPU, maybe just check witch one works better for you. Very high capacity may profit more form GPU assisted miner ... read the OP here to understand https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1170987.msg12329106#msg12329106

NOTICE: numbers are from before CPU used AVX and SSE
    PC-1: 85TB plots:
~80sec with CPU (12 cores intel@4.1GHz) bottleneck: CPU
~16sec with GPU (280x@~50%) bottleneck: HDD read speed

    PC-2: 56TB plots:
~70sec with CPU (8 cores amd@4.5GHz) bottleneck: CPU
~24sec with GPU (amd HD 7970@~50%) bottleneck: HDD read speed

~48sec with GPU (amd HD 5450@~100%) bottleneck: GPU

  • @goldshidlfx If u download the AIO wallet, after installation in AppData>Roaming>BurstWallet u will find 3 files like @luxe said that combines different software such as xplotter, jminer if u want GPU mining and miner if u wand cpu mining. Make a shortcut for the jminer folder, there are batch files inside that u can run manually without using the AIO wallet.

U didn't really use the Burst client to plot the drives, what the client did was it picked up the xplotter file mentioned before with it's own default settings. That's why it's always best to plot drives directly using xplotter with ur own settings because u need to optimize ur plots and xplotter allows u to do that.
