pool.ccminer.net:8080 new pool for big miners!!!

@Han-Solo give xplotter a try, it plots and optimizes in 1 pass and seems to be faster for me than wplotter and then using plotoptimizer

@Han-Solo That'll happen if you're plotting directly to an SMR drive - try plotting to a regular drive then moving it to the SMR drive.
On the pool, the DL limit has been dropped to 24 hours, and over the next couple of days I'll look at dropping it to 12.
-
@haitch What is the logic for dropping to 12 hours, given the current small number of Miners and nonces being submitted?
Rich
-
@RichBC We're now stable and consistently getting sub 12 hour blocks - so taking it down to 12 won't make it look broken.
12 Hours gives us really low processing of nonces, so it becomes the most responsive pool, with a really low fee.
-
@haitch But typically we only see 20 or less nonces on a Block is there really a gain in having less than that?
I have 80TB and am happy at 24 Hours but would be concerned at how many Blocks I would not be making the Deadline limit at 12 Hours, or is that you are targeting people with 200 + TB?

@RichBC Yeah, basically looking at a differentiator to attract big miners - low deadline, low overhead, low fee. The difference on your historical share is minimal, and the same on current blocks. If someone has a winnable deadline, and you have a 13 hour DL, we're talking at most 1-2 Burst, but more often than not it's a fraction of a single Burst.

@Han-Solo @haitch Ok will see how it goes from a small miner 80TB point of view. Will be an interesting experiment. I know I hit around 90% of deadlines with 48 Hours and that drops to around 70% with 24 Hours, which on ninja I have been happy with.
If this were to drop to 50% at 12 Hours then I I have a feeling it will impact earnings, but happy to see what happens. This is only a good thing to do if it pulls in more larger miners. How about dropping the fee to 0.5%?

@Han-Solo The concern I have is that part of why I do OK is that I have a fast Miner. That is only of benefit on a fast Block when often I have got a Deadline in and can get quite a good Historic Share reward. If I am only doing that on half the Blocks that I was before then I loose a lot of that edge.
Agreed on nonce reduction :-) I however think a good target is if Miners submitting and nonces are about the same number / definitely under 2 nonces / Miner?
But let's see how it goes?

@tross Can you please just stop this vendetta you are embarked on, you should be welcoming a new Pool, not constantly criticising it.
You currently run the 4th largest pool on the network and know how hard it is to attract new Miners and grow a pool. I would say it's very unlikely that ccminer will get anything like the size of ninja or club.
Miners will make their own decisions and if all that is needed to attract them is a low Deadline and a small fee then there will be plenty of competition.

@crutsy I can assure you that it is being worked on from different angles. As I see it an updated core version (let's name it 1.2.9) without the need of a hard or soft fork will resolve this issue.
Burst has survived bigger problems in the past with less dev support. :)

@ccminer I had thought to make a video, but will settle for some Breaking news. ;-)
Tross the owner of the 4th largest Mining Pool on the Burst Coin Network has slammed the new ccminer Pool dubbing it a Super Duper Coin Killer. He has speculated that as it attracts Larger Miners it is destined to challenge ninja for the number 1 spot.
ccminer is first of a new breed of Pool with Ddos protection, low fees, and low Deadlines for a fast response and although it is the "Newcomer on the Block" has rapidly risen to be the 7th largest pool on the network.
ccminer the owner of the Pool commented. They have attacked us with Rain, they have attacked us with Ddos, they are now attacking us with concerns over our rapid rise, we obviously have them worried! We will however continue on our mission to add diversity, strength and choice to the Burst Network. (at least that is what I think he would have said if I had asked him :-)

@RichBC Good for @ccminer. I don't have enough drives to mine there but I do invest in his asset. Best of luck to you @ccminer.

If you drop to 12 hr DL I will be gone. 1% fee with reliability is enough of an incentive to attract miners from Ninja. Don't mess with a good thing.

wow what happened here!!!
@RichBC Replied for me already.
@tross I think all of us got your point! Thanks for shared it with us! We will keep doing what we are doing! CIAOSaid so, talking about serious stuff, the 12 hours DL is too early @haitch, I prefere to gradualy got back to 24, like every time we will get 50+ nonces submitted we will decrease the DL of 8 hours, or something like this!
I'm not against very short DL but now it is really too early

I'm not against very short DL but now it is really too earlyGood call. let's stick at 24 hours until there is good reason to change. Has worked well for ninja over a long period of time. Am not against change but like @rds am not saying I would be gone but would be monitoring very closely if we went to 12 Hrs.
On the other hand if there are some Miners who would come here only if the deadline was 12 Hours, then at least let us know?
One thing worth bearing in mind is that with say 200TB you are fine going Solo, and a significant reason I like being on a Pool is for some good company and a friendly group of knowledgeable Miners which I feel we have at the moment.
Let's keep it that way and get back to enjoying this...

@RichBC The miners have spoken, so 24 hours it is.
