pool.ccminer.net:8080 new pool for big miners!!!

@Garbear @Han-Solo Here is my 80TB Scan. No Hubs here, each drive is either on it's own Port on the motherboard or a StarTech Card.

@Han-Solo ahhh the skipped dl's, thats what I need! Thanks man!
pool mining you don't need a DL limit, the pool will assign that.

Not saying it doesn't belong, just that @Garbear thought he needed it, pointing out that it is mute for pool mining.

@rds To be fair I was not sure and don't bother to investigate. I use the same conf for solo and pool. And because the line was there already.... :)
Exactly.
-
@rds I know the skipped ones aren't needed I just didn't have that in the config to not show them that's all
-
@RichBC u must have a couple of those cards cause that's a lot of plots! Fantastic speeds my man, 30tb's more than mine and 2-4sec faster scan speeds, awesome RichBC!
-
@Han-Solo stats so far, i was on nomnom for a bit but payouts were taking longer than other pools so I switched to a smaller one
-
@Garbear I have 17 Drives, a mix of 4TB & 5TB. There are two of the StarTech cards in this system with 8 Drives connected, the remaining 9 Drives are directly connected to USB ports on the motherboard. Drives are not optimised so a small additional speed improvement is possible.

@RichBC optimized plots are a big increase in scan speeds. Been a while since having unoptimized plots so I don't have specific numbers, I use xplotter now that plots optimized already.
-
@Garbear They are plotted with a big stagger and from the couple of drives I have optimised the gain is unfortunately not that big. I might get a second off.
On a different subject, after being bugged by tross about why we have this Pool and that it is a Lost cause....... I thought I would take a look at the stats.
We are now the 7th largest Pool by Blocks Mined in the last 10 Days and given the Attacks the Pool has been through during that time and the number of Miners we have are doing very nicely. :-)
The number of nonces being submitted even with the 48 hour deadline is still very low, so the pool is very responsive. So if anyone fancies a ninja style Pool with a 1% fee come & join us.

@Han-Solo give xplotter a try, it plots and optimizes in 1 pass and seems to be faster for me than wplotter and then using plotoptimizer

@Han-Solo That'll happen if you're plotting directly to an SMR drive - try plotting to a regular drive then moving it to the SMR drive.
On the pool, the DL limit has been dropped to 24 hours, and over the next couple of days I'll look at dropping it to 12.
-
@haitch What is the logic for dropping to 12 hours, given the current small number of Miners and nonces being submitted?
Rich
-
@RichBC We're now stable and consistently getting sub 12 hour blocks - so taking it down to 12 won't make it look broken.
12 Hours gives us really low processing of nonces, so it becomes the most responsive pool, with a really low fee.
-
@haitch But typically we only see 20 or less nonces on a Block is there really a gain in having less than that?
I have 80TB and am happy at 24 Hours but would be concerned at how many Blocks I would not be making the Deadline limit at 12 Hours, or is that you are targeting people with 200 + TB?
