Another Plotting question
-
Hey all,
I am pool mining 300 gb , plotted on Burst client, no problems at all.
Question.
Have 8tb hdd on the way.
I was advised to plot using xplotter.
Why?
Why not use the Burst client to plot.
I did open the run as admin and it says cant create directory, press any key to continue. When I press a key, the app closes????

If I'm not mistaken the Local Burst Client aka AIO uses xplotter to plot your drives. They recommend xplotter because it plots and optimizes all at the same time.
Hopefully I'm giving the right answer here, I'm sure someone will slap me if I'm wrong :)

No slap for @DougLife. You are correct, latest AIO defaults to xplotter as it generates optimized plots.

@PETENICE did you reformat into NTFS .. the WD 8tb came standard in xfat.. i had to reformat.. took 2 seconds
-
AND, if you are formatting the drive anyways, make sure to change the "Allocation Unit Size" to 64kb...apparently that is recommended.
-
@darindarin yeah no, that was the missing link. Thanks.
-
@DrTrouble dang, don't think I did that.
Should I start over???

@PETENICE from my understanding and i hope others can also provide feedback is that the default setting is fine.. but the 64k is better. I did switch to 64k before formating and i failed to mention that in my initial post you first commented on, sorry about that am editing it now so others can see it. .
