Burst.ninja is getting too big

@Han-Solo I was at Italian pool too and also had them issues. Lexicon did such a great job with the code the Italian pool used. You really cant call it uray code but out of respect for original author we call it so. I am not a bandit :) I take the fees and put most in a Burst bash I have about once a month. I say if a group of large miners mined at an improved uray code pool then they will do just as good. Rich the code the code has been changed since you mined at my pool. I do this for a hobby not an income so all I want is a successful pool where everyone is satisfied.
-
@RichBC I'm looking at raising the deadlines on .BIZ and .EU, not as high as as Burst-team or Ninja though. Currently they're getting hammered by 7-8x the number of nonces Ninja gets, which I suspect causes the not confirmed DL's - even though they are getting submitted, it concerns people.
-
@haitch Perhaps the ccminer pool could have the same deadline as Ninja?

its great to see a good portion of the community help towards the development of this pool software by mining at these pools. the more miners to mine. makes it easier to identify problems that are happening. ive worked solidly with the community to get these pools up to scratch and they are getting better as time goes on. a good portion of the community see this and mine there. its just annoying that all some people seem to care about is profit. rather than improving the network.
i have a 100tb miner on my pool who refuses to move because hes a nice guy. loves sharing his burst with fellow miners. but the same cant be said about others. different mentality's i suppose.
this weekend im hoping to spruce up the UI but ive got a few other projects that need doing @tross your burst bash command is one of them.

@Han-Solo i understand what your saying but i cant see how everyone going on the pool with the most miners being the best idea for the community as a whole.
its ruining it for everyone else its going to get to the point where due to the size of the top pools it makes it really bad for anyone smaller to set up. crippling the network causing nodes to disappear cause they cant compete.
if all the users spread out more evenly. then all the pools payouts would generally be the same. however currently if someone mines on a smaller pool and looks at the calculator they will find they aint receiving anywhere near what they should. leave to go to a bigger pool which causes the problem all over again. obviously you cant expect these small pools to operate forever either. eventually they will just shut up shop because they cant afford to host on their resources.

@dawallet as I wrote already in my asset thread I'm ready to set up my new pool with 24 hours deadline and 1% fee to give a valid alternative to .ninja
There is just one problem and I PM @haitch already about that once fixed I can launch the pool.I hope it could help

So you wish to make another pool full of large miners. Why not spread them out across the network. Wouldn't everyone benefit more.
Most the blocks would go to the large miner pools and what do I give my miners? No block No reward!Pool cap! Make them spread out. That is fair for the whole mining community. Hell I make a 24 hour deadline too but what does that look like. I am in it for the money and who cares about small miners. Your smallest miner are just important as your largest miner! Look at the whole picture. Make the small miner earn less and he will leave.

i agree. setting lower pool max deadlines poses additional problems where all the large miners will just move to that pool leaving all the small miners worse off.
i personally think we have enough ninja pools. and enough pools in general if everyone spread out.
this reminds me of our post on the PB mining farms. we were saying back then that were going to have a problem. especially if they join a large pool. and now we are starting to have issues.
-
@ccminer Can we make the Max deadline the same as Ninja please? If that's 24 Hours then great?
Rich
-
@RichBC Why not 2 hours?
-
@tross Well maybe, all I know is that whatever the deadline is on Ninja works for me, trouble is I am away from Home & cannot remember what it is?

@RichBC It doesnt mater really what the times are. What the point of sending all the smaller miners else where. What will happen if we have 3 pools of large miners. Is that good for the whole community?
-
@tross I just don't want to be competing with Hundreds of nonces being submitted. I also want to be on a Pool that wins at least a couple of Blocks each Hour. I really don't see why I can't be free to choose a Pool that gives me that?
Rich
-
@RichBC Dont we all!
-
Rich that is my whole point. Take 5 large miners to my pool and we get 2 or 3 blocks an hour. But instead I get 1 large miner and he decides its not profitable. I wonder why?
-
@RichBC Currently:
Ninja 1 Day
Team 8 Days
BIZ 42 Days
.EU 72 DaysI'm going to be reducing the last 3 - probably halving them
-
@RichBC ninja is 24 hours with 2% fee.
At least at the beginning I would like to do 24 hours and 1%
-
Cap the pools! Size limit . spread the wealth save the network
