MSI Gaming x RX 470 8 GB - potential driver issue with mining
-
I have been able to plot files and mine Burst using the GPU version mentioned in the title. I was also briefly able to get some hashrate using Minergate, but short after I got BSOD and at later attempts nothing happened. When I try to use the benchmark in Nicehash miner, it won't produce a single hash.
I have tried reinstalling OS (Win 10), using different but identical cards in two different systems, using various generic AMD drivers, MSI drivers, drivers that Nicehash recommend, but... nothing happens when I run Nicehash benchmark. I am running out of ideas to try here.
Do you think that this is definitely a driver issue related particularly to mining? Nothing else seems to be wrong with the systems. My goal is to get Nicehash miner working.
@IceBurst I think maybe you know these cards well.

@Propagandalf have you the latest BIOS update for your motherboard?
-
@iKnow0 Yes on both systems, which are two different MOBOs, but with same GPUs.
-
@Propagandalf nicehash benchmarks bsods systems with sgminer mostly/ try not having amd drivers with re-live versions before benchmarking :0
-
@HiDevin I tried, but no luck unfortunately =) At least I am able to mine ETH through Minergate with my current drivers. I will try Claymore dual mining when I get time, to see if that will work, would be great if it did =)

Minergate is great mining system
