How to Plot 1TB External Disk Drive

  • Can anyone help here please, I want to plot 1TB external disk drive, I came with 2 strategies whether I use First one or Seconde, and also would like to know that makeplot file are correct.

First One: 5 files each 200GB

Second one: 1 file for 1TB

Please I need some help to start mining my burst coin, I just discovered this awesome mining technology and willing to learn, can any one correct me here and advice.

  • Pick the second one. 1 file for 1TB.

@fosu Because a terabyte drive is 1,000,000,000,000 rather than a "true" 1 TB drive, make the number of nonces you plot = 3,801,088 rather than 4,000,000 - you won't get 4 million on the drive.

To calculate number of nonces for a drive:

    • Take Drive Size in Bytes / 262,144
    • Divide that by stagger size (16,384 here)
    • Round down to integer number only.
    • Multiply that by stagger = number of nonces will fit on the drive given your stagger.

  • @fosu check this out

    https://forums.burst-team.us/topic/338/nonces-calculator-for-plotting-v3-0

you can put the exact amount of bytes from your HD and will give you the right Nonces.

  • @haitch thanks I am trying now the number of nonces of 3,808,088 and see how it's doing...
