BURST FORUM AND BURST NATION WHATS DIFFERENCE LOOKS ALMOST SIMILAR THEN WHY TWO~
-
You know what's funny, I've been on the hub and I enjoy both.
You don't see threads in burst nation talking about these forums, yes you guys spend all your time and energy here, how can you comment without experiencing them for yourselves
Never mind everyone else be your own person
From what I see its another great place to meet friends and keep up with content, an opinion from an unbiased source
Edit you'll never see a post over there about this place so why?

@ all
We have three forums including Bitcointalk, which came way before these two. As far as I can tell, no one complained when Haitch's forum was introduced. My theory is that many lack the history, and have grown 'used to' Haitch's forum because it was the first place they landed, and then they feel threatened when something new comes along, and try to fight it. I can relate to this, but I don't necessarily endorse the behaviour.Until now, the Bitcointalk forum and Haitch's forum have (in my opinion) catered to slightly different audiences, which means that we have been reaching a higher number of people than if we had just the one. Now, with a third forum, the same effect may be seen again, especially since there are different people running the different forums, as each individual supporting the forum infrastructure will have incentive to keep their version running and online, just like how each separate pool owner operates.
Why the heck is no one complaining that we have a ton of pools? Some even have their own chat, which could 'steal' members if you keep following the same logic as with the forum debate. The Burst Casino also has a chat with loads of members who are constantly chatting away. Why do you reckon Burst is so small that we should only have one forum? It seems like quite a narrow viewpoint if you ask me, especially if you wish to see mainstream use in the future. Burst is discussed on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Steemit, Youtube and probably lots of other places I can't think of right now. For supporting the decentralized nature of crypto currencies, craving one forum only is a bizarre desire.
Having many pools run by different people leads to decentralized pools, thus reducing the chance of encountering a 'single point of failure' problem, and also makes it harder for people to deliberately take down our infrastructure to destroy our coin. When one pool goes down, you switch and mine on another. The same holds true for forums, when one goes down, you can use the other. Fear, uncertainty and doubt is the worst enemy of a crypto currency's value, and this is exactly what happens when our services go offline, but it is also what is happening due to this debate, please keep that in mind if you want to do what is best for Burst and our tech. You would be surprised how devastating a single forum comment can be if read by the wrong persons.
If you want to stay with one forum or another, I don't see a problem with that. However, and I mean this in general, I do see a problem with multiple community members exerting an overtly negative attitude to any development that is done. Developers have spent both time and money to make advances to our coin and tech, on behalf of the greater good. Of course we are all entitled to express our opinions, but some of you angle it in such a way that it seems like we have to choose sides, when we don't. By all means discuss, but please don't over-exaggerate the current situation, we are free to choose which platform(s) we want to support, and no one has ever said anything else.
In reality, there is just a small number of community members who have expressed hard viewpoints on certain things and who have held a public debate, which is fine. The majority of Bursters are silent, and wish only to see increased value of their investment and to see a brighter future. Don't judge a book by its cover, and let's help everyone achieve success by working together, and endorsing development within the community.
Bravo sir, *golf 👏 *

Change is scary but I agree with @Propagandalf. Also, the community will decide where the majority of communication will need to be.
-
Sorry to get me again but I honestly believe that this is not correct, one thing is that there are more forums and another is that every forum that has been declared official, which would prevent me from creating another forum to modify the code a little and say I am the official forum?
This if it leads to create confusion and not the logo so some the other day mounted so much fuss
-
I don't find multiple forums confusing at all.
If it says 'official' or not makes little difference. Burst Nation states it is a hub for all things Burst. The noun hub has a different meaning than forum, so the way I see it Burst Nation is the only hub so far, and they are thus the official one because there are no other hubs. If new hubs come along, well, then I guess they may not be 'the' official hub anymore. If we are going to argue over an adjective, we may as well argue over nouns too.
You are free to create your own forum if you like. Each community member decides where they want to go, since we are a community-based crypto currency, even if all platforms are promoted as official. The status 'official' is not necessarily tied to only one entity either, by the way.
-
Well you do not know anything that creates a forum about Burst that says it's official we'll see if this confuses people or not.
Is it the case that the official currency of a country can be anyone ??
For me as long as it is not clear what is official or not, it is a mistake, from whom? It would be another topic to discuss
-
@Energy your analogy to a country is misguided. This is a decentralized currency that needs decentralized platforms to grow and exist in new spaces.
Is there an "Offical" bitcoin forum? - No. Anyone can call it official but it's obviously just a marketing technique

The new (crypto) world is chaotic, get wild and adapt!

@k.coins
Sorry? If there is not an official bitcoin forum it will be because they are not interested but I think that the official bitcoin site is bitcoin.org or bitcoinfoundation.org, that someone corrects me if I am wrong, the rest will try bitcoin but they are not official
-
@Energy those are not "official," there are a million others. You can not have an "official" site of decentralization lol.
If you find a group of developers, in the case of bitcoin.org the core developers, you like to follow, by all means, that could be their "official" place of communication. BUT that does NOT mean it is the only source of information regarding the coin. In fact, some of the most interesting developments for any coin might be happening in places you've never seen before o_O
-
There are no official bitcoin pages, I have nothing more to say
-
it's a good thing, it creates competition betwen the two hopefully it stays friendly and can come to an agreement to be able to source each other as a resource in the future. but as essentuly the first such competitiveness in the burst community i can see how it can become a heated topic. in the long run it will push both sites to add new features and grow. what im most excited about is it's almost a 100% given that both will be bumping up promotion / advertising to keep a steady growth witch = bigger growth for Burst overall.
-
@cwade77 Like I told you in CHAT yesterday ... You take your way, I take mine & both leave happily. Both of us want Burst to be on the TOP. And PLEASE STOP TROLLING PEOPLE by calling that forum a Hub. Putting shortcut links on the top of the Forum doesn't make it a HUB.
-
@all As I said, please stop criticizing the other site.
That said, I'm sorry @cwade77, but your statement that the forums are a tiny part of your site is laughable. If you take away the forums, what's left? The asset explorer that I'm apparently not allowed to link to and the link to the casino?
-
@cwade77 I have no clue who you are or your link to nation.
But really - looking at the the site today, take away the forum and what is left?
I have no insight to what might be coming. I was responding to your laughable statement.
I'm sorry, but pointing out your ridiculous statement is not a cheapshot - it's not a shot at all, except at your laughable claim.
If we take away the people Adam brought in, then we're left with the 2,000+ people that were already here. How many do you have on your site ?
-
the question could be, what woud their asset got without this forum ???
-
@cwade77 LOL
-
Your assumption of the price increase is interesting.
-
Settle down boys, my dicks still bigger
-
@cwade77 said in BURST FORUM AND BURST NATION WHATS DIFFERENCE LOOKS ALMOST SIMILAR THEN WHY TWO~:
Ok @haitch since you want to continue with the cheapshots, how about this question, If you take away all the people that @AdamGuerbuez brought into your forum, what's left?
I will be left! Is that not enough? Do you really need more? Cmon...
