Marketplace

  • I've placed a few listings in the Marketplace, and I plan on doing more in the coming days. My question is, "Is it not possible to add a feature that will allow for the posting of pictures in the Marketplace?" I think it will go a long way in showcasing the products and or services for Sellers as well as those who are interested in purchasing.

The goal here is to make sure that the Buyers are buying directly from the Marketplace and not being forced to transition over to another website or page to complete their purchases. We should be giving them ALL of the details and information that they need right there in the Marketplace.
I really hope so. What do you guys think about this?

Yep, you are totally right, i worked on something like that, but not finished yet.

So uploading pictures is technically possible.
But will not be available/ready in short term.

  • @luxe See I didn't realize that i.e. the size of the pictures will play a role in the size of the transaction and blockchain. Is that correct? If that is the case what about posting links to pictures or graphics?

  • admin

Sure, the bigger the picture to 'upload' to blockchain, the more burst you have to pay for it, but adding a thumb with 16kb or something should be no problem. You can add links to product description ... no problem.

  • @luxe So this leads me to another question. There currently isn't any editing feature after each particular listing. I can change the qty or price, but why not the description?

  • admin

Did not know that, guess than, the only way is delist product and create a new. Or you could add a feedback containing picture links.

  • @luxe yes I could delist the product but that would cost me additional burst (fees). As a Business Owner my goal is to reduce cost not unnecessarily add to them. I'm sure you understand this point. How can I get this particular issue expressed over to the Dev team? Is there a format or location to convey these feedback issues to them so that they may be address from a coding point of view.

I'm not complaining I am just looking at how "WE" can improve the functionality of Burst and it core features and be the Leader in EVERY aspect.

I am looking at this particular issues from a customer point of view and asking myself would I purchase from Sellers in the Marketplace with the current features verses going to Amazon, Ebay or any other online shopping site. Here is an interesting article on Burst's Market place. The idea behind it is GREAT but the getting customers to buy from our current decentralize platfrom is an entirely different issue that needs to be address if we are going to attract customers.

Again this will lead to more usage of Burstcoins and increasing our market cap/share overall.

    Something to seriously think about.
