Getting picture as signature

I can't seem to get my signature to show the picture I want, while I know it is possible because of ads i've seen people having in their sig's. I am totally clueless alltogether about this though, can someone explain this to me like I was 5?

Exactly! What have you done! :P I had an image in my signature and even me I found it too annoying (it was only a height of 30px but too much for my taste).

Now imagine everyone with an image as signature! :P

@Zeus people with large sigs will be asked to resize them, then they'll be resized

I made it small enough to show up on my iphone 6 without having to resize the screen.
