Burst Hardware Wallet Integration
-
Hi everyone👋😊
I have noticed that there is no way of storing Burst on a hardware wallet at the moment. What are your plans on this in the future? It would be really good if you could use a hardware wallet to store Burst on, like the Ledger Nano S. Maybe you could integrate hardware wallet integration on your online wallet or in the Windows Client? I hope you'll be able to easily add hardware wallet support soon.

@Candy-Pandy I once wrote to Ledger asking them to add Burst and their reply was:
"If BurstCoin is a clone of Bitcoin then we can add it quite easily.
But it's still some work and we'd need to get some commit from the BurstCoin community to buy products (a minimum of 100 units is usually needed to justify adding a coin)"
-
What would be the point of that hardware wallet? Everything concerning your wallet is stored on the blockchain so harware wallet doesnt add any sort of protection
-
@rnahlawi Okay, thanks for telling me that. Maybe I should send a letter to them to. If we all start sending letters to them, they might add it soon. Maybe the Burst Developers could create one, then give it to them. It might be a little difficult for Ledger to integrate it themselves, as it isn't really a Bitcoin clone.

@LithStud Hardware wallets are made to protect your private keys. Anyone with your private key can still all your Burst.
-
@Candy-Pandy there you go http://keepass.info/
you can store whatever passwords you want. put that onto usb and your done
-
@Candy-Pandy Do they support Nxt (Currency) ? If yes, you could use it for Burst, too.
-
@daWallet They don't but welling to if 100 units committed to be purchased.
@LithStud Software or any digital form of storing is not really secure. for now, printed copy of your passphrase (hard copy) used on local wallet is the safest method.

I would buy 1 ledger S if they made Burst for it. (Or Ledger Blue)
@daWallet, No. Ethereum, Bitcoin, Litecoin, FIDO U2F, Dogecoin, ZCash, DASH and Stratis.

I would buy one too .. Maybe to open a thread to collect others whom willing to buy upon adding Burst?

I emailed Ledger and they replied with this:
Thank you for your message.
