About jminer release memory when STOP block mining
-
Hello there.
I am using jminer why cheep CPU power. But system memory dry up often. I was watching AMD system monitor when run jminer...
jminer did not release old data memory when stop block mining (not finish block mining). So jminer start block mining left (leave?) old data.Please check this behavior.
Thank you.

@luxe can probably troubleshoot

@Hajime it's problem with Windows caching https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/aa364218(v=vs.85).aspx
OS didn't clear cache

@Hajime There is a known issue with caching of Win7 in combination with jminer. No problem with Win8 or 10 or any alternative OS. Blago's miner has solved this issue ... so you have to change OS or use other miner ... another way would be, to solve the issue in win, but i know no way doing that.

@luxe I found that this problem occur at plot and mining same time and HDDs connect to USB.
I discovered that the following configuration avoids this problem.
plot: Mother board SATA
mining: USBThank you.

@Hajime Ok, thank you ... if i understand right ... Win7 caching is no issue on mining USB devices ... where ever you plot should have no influence.

@luxe I am using WIN10. I understood OS problem but down grade work hard....
-
@luxe And Win10 is default supported USB UASP. It's very fast.

@Hajime
Hmmm.... I'm plotting to HDD (SATA) and mining at the same time USB3 and HDDs, without problems
Win10
Or problem occur when plotting and mining at the same USB?
-
@Blago Not same USB line. But memory overflow occur plot and mining HDDs connect to USB.
When I observed changes in memory consumption, it seems that the data output by the plot program is not output from USB, it continues to be cached in memory, and finally overflows from physical memory.
In the case of HDD connected to SATA, plot program seems to wait until data is written to HDD.
