Am plotting at the moment and will start mining later. Any advice is welcome.

When burst client for windows is downloading blockchain, what exactly is it doing? I already asked but was answer already I guess but still I have a hard time figuring it out. It is a one time thing this download, right? Burst client is still showing the small download window in the lower right corner and it's like the bar didn't increase all this time.

yes, concerning this error: 12:29:07 New block 317309, baseTarget 1749678, netDiff 10473 Tb
File "17276370027728467240_300000001_3266432_3266432" error opening
12:29:07 Thread "C:\Burst\plots" @ 0.0 sec (0.0 MB/s) CPU 0.00%The window says I have 1 file of 797Gb, I see it is not plotted yet and so I can't use my space yet. I have to wait until fully plotted.

When I logged into my wallet it gave me a new burst address? I already had one and claimed faucets with it, why did this happen? I never asked for a new one. What if this happens when there are like 40'000 bursts in it?
-
It happened again, prior to it I went back to my original wallet, and switching between online and local wallet I got a third address now and I can't seem to find how to switch between them manually. I only have one passphrase and everytime I enter it it seems to generate a new Burst address.

@2nd4thdegree The blockchain downloading is getting the whole blockchain (~ 300,000 blocks ) from it's peers.
The accounts will be different if you go to two different wallets and one is forked then it will appear as different accounts. We had some issues with a fork overnight, but everyone is in agreement now.
-
oh, well I had a notice I was probably forked, I had no idea what it meant. Startup for mining takes some time I guess. Maybe tomorrow I'll be fully set.

Ok guys, all has been plotted and so I started mining 5 minutes ago. All seems to be going wel. I'm at the mobile platform you guys presented, thx.
Can I see how much bursts I mined at a certain moment and how do the payouts happen?
-
well nice, this time I had 50% of the shares and my reward is 691.**, is that 691 bursts? I noticed at the bottom of the wallet platform 10.000 bursts is like 6$, if this keeps going like this all day I could have like 10$ each day. That's nice.
-
The blockchain is halfway downloaded now also.

Sometimes there's no deadline and I'm not in the list. Also, does it make a difference when there's nothing else running on my computer?
-
would it make a difference if I plotted 4 times 200Gb of HDD, like more chances to have the grand share?
-
some blocks take 30 seconds, some 10 mins
-
@2nd4thdegree No Deadline is just the luck of the Block it is not uncommon unless you have very large plots and arrays of drives.
Plotting more files doesn't give you better chances, plotting more space does. It is all about the number in total of Nonces not how many plots you have of the same number of Nonces.
Burst is mined just like BitCoin. The difference is your hash power is stored on the drive so you never have to spend the energy to push the same amount of mining power at a block over and over again. You do the Power once from a CPU or GPU and it is stored forever in the Plot.
So understanding this concept, the Diff goes high and it makes it more Difficult to find a block. So the Deadlines go up across the network. This happens because other miners found deadlines below 4 minutes too quickly. 4 Minutes is the target so the Blocks must average out and once the Diff goes high and longer block times happen the Diff goes down like a rollercoaster vs Luck and Mining Power on the network.

Thx Nick, I'm mining at the m.burst4all.com with my laptop, I use 0.8TB of plotted HDD space. The limit of this pool is 1TB, let's say I buy an external HDD of 1TB, will it add to the current 0.8TB and get me banned on it since the limit is 1TB and I'll be having 1.8TB, or will the system recognise two different HDD and make me mine with two different "accounts" on the mining platform?
-
@2nd4thdegree Yes you will want to switch pools. There is a list out there somewhere that states the limits on most.
-
Sorry, I changed my post in the meanwhile, let's say I buy an external of 1TB, it will add to my current 0.8 and I won't be mining with two "accounts" (don't know how to put it), since I'm using two HDD? In my pool some names are there twice or trice, they must be using multiple computers or phones then?
-
@2nd4thdegree As long as you paste your Address in and use the Same Address to Tag the Plot with you will be on the same Pool when you mine. Different wallet addresses would be able to mine separately but there is no real benefit there unless you have huge drives and want to average a payout across pools. You will tend to hit more pay with larger plots so either way it will be about the same outcome or minimal difference in the long run. Especially if using small storage for plots.
So I would just make them both the same and go to another pool. Just have to pick the right one because some are 10TB minimum and you will never find a deadline on those. Let me see if I can find the pool for less than 10...
-
Is there anywhere I can see how much I mined in total of all the blocks mined already or will I only know on payout and when does payout happen?
