Tool for checking if plots are optimized

@haitch Getting the same error.
-
@mathew What the output of gpuplotgenerator setup, option 1 and option 2 ?
-
@haitch not sure what you mean. If this is what I think you mean.

-
@Mathew : From the above screenshots you are using your intel HD graphics for generating the plot, which does not have sufficient memory
I guess you need to change the line in devices.txt to
1 0 4096 256 8192
If the above does not work, you can try the below
1 0 2048 256 8192
Run plot generator
If this doesn't work too reduce the 2048 further to 1024 and then to 512 and try again
If nothing works paste the output of below command here
gpuPlotGenerator listPlatforms
-
@mathew - yep, exactly what tpriyan said - the devices.txt needs to be updated to reflect you actual card.
-
@tpriyan @haitch Tried all of that and my driver then says it has stopped responding buy has recovered.

-
-
@tpriyan Works thanks for your help!
-
@tpriyan new problem now, it stays at 2048/11448320 remaining nounces for about a half an hour now.
-
EDIT - Deleted to make thread clean
-
@mathew Are you plotting in direct of buffered mode? If direct then that is normal, nothing will happen for potentially a couple of hours - depending on the size of your plot.
-
@tpriyan @haitch it fixed itself so the driver no longer crashes but like i said I am plotting in direct with 2.7ish tb.
-
@mathew Okay, it'll take a couple of hours before it moves on - basically it's building the structure for the whole 2.7TB file, then it will start filling it in. If you look at resource monitor you'll see that gpuplotgenerator is doing a lot of IO.
-
@haitch ahhh ok, ya gpuplotgenerator is using 90% of memory so i will let it sit. Thanks for helping me figure this out
-
@mathew Yeah, had me scratching my head the first time I used it - thought it had crashed, but resource monitor showed it was still working - I sat and waited and it eventually took off.
-
This post is deleted!
-
@haitch How many nounces can go into 2.61Tb or 2,874,625,708,032 bytes. Just want to get my nounces correct as I already messed up once. I believe it is 10,948,608 just shy of those bytes.
-
@mathew if you have 2874625708032 bytes free: nonces = 2874625708032/64/4096 = 10965826
