passphrase.txt

In the CPU miner folder there is a file called passphrase.txt. I think that file is used to give your passphrase during solo mining. The wallet folder has a txt file with the encrypted passphrase. Why isn't passphrase.txt in an encrypted format to protect your account. Anyone who has access to that file will be able to suck your account dry???

@rds you are running a node with the local wallet so basically is like you are running your PC as a server so basically if your pc is hacked he gets your password but i think it should be encrypted somehow idk xD

@gpedro OpenSource. if you see algorithm for encryptor, so somebody can make decryptor

@Blago makes sense ;D

@Blago, if anyone can make a decryptor and hack the encrytption, then why is the wallet password stored as an encrypted file??

Because having the passphrases in plain text is even worse. The client precisely states: "Your passphrase got saved locally and not in plain text!". There is not a word about encryption.
Good encryption is a tricky thing and I'm not ready to provide this at the moment. Illusive security is much worse at the end of the day.
If your machine is compromised a keylogger can read out everything you type in.

@rds
ok.- You got ID by generated passphrase1
- passphrase1 encrypting by XXX and got passphrase2 for decrypt passphrase1
- but you still have passphrase2 as plain text. What doing next?
- passphrase2 encrypt again? and get passphrase3?
