Trying to plot on external Hard drive 287GB Help
-
Hey there,
Been plotting on this external hard drive for about 12 hrs. I know 287GB is not a lot, but it's what I have to start checking this out. Still only says 1%.
Am I doing something wrong? Should I restart? Or just keep waiting? How do I up my priority class to at least normal? lol~... I hate being the little duck who gets lost behind. Help please.Also..., in your opinion,... is it even worth it to plot this drive? Been seeing that with a 1TB drive,... burst mining you can only make a couple bucks a month right now.

The current price of BURST lends itself more to buying than mining, but we're thinking of the future, and after I put out some great PR we're planning, a LOT more people will know about BURST.
You should maybe try restarting the plotting, seems it may have locked up, maybe this time try using 1 thread instead of two, if the computer is really slow it could be that the computer is having a difficult time, I've found with those systems if I plot with less cpu cores it tends to work better.
Also, check the size of your plot files, to see if the computer actually locked up, or if it is just 'pretending' but yet still plotting.
You can always start again, and no amount is too small to use, it doesn't hurt your hardware, so there is no reason NOT to use it. IMO, any coin will be something in the future, when the coin gets to where it should be.
