NEWS 10What's next ? :
The next week payout will finally include the CPU mining! I'm looking around to get a cheap drive to add to the FRPA miner, I'll let you know.Ben
-
@BenBurst, if you wanna consider another profitable CPU-mined coin, you might also choose XMG. It's CPU-only mining, and you can stake it in XMG-wallet to get additional income, till you convert 'em into BTC prior to distributing weekly divvy.
If you have a good CPU the result will be quite good. Current price at around 1700 satoshi per 1 XMG.
You can try it in Suprnova pool.
-
@bitko Hi there,
Thanks for the info I will take a look,
But it dont seems to be more profitable than ZEC atm :(Ben
-
@BenBurst, hmm...OK then. You know better and I put my trust on this asset, I'm already happy receiving the divvy. :)
-
@bitko
I will give XMG a try, but out of the asset as im not sure about profitability, Thanks for your trust anyway,
I'm always happy to see some words like that :)Ben
-
@BenBurst hey :) do you know of any coin that would be good enough to mine on a fairly old server cpu (that doesnt have support for aes-ni)? The tought thing is it needs to have linux miner (i have set up cpuminer-multi older version for XMR but that thing is so slow its no point running it lol)
-
@LithStud Hi !
Diffucult to answer this as I'm only mining with recent hardware,
I got an "old" CPU that I mining with but it's a XEON E5-1650 that support AVX.
That CPU is only mining for the asset, with the energy cost, I would just turn it off if it was for my personnal mining operation.
Sorry for that but you cant do any profit with really old hardware, energy cost will always kill you. Except if you are mining BURST ! ahahahBen
-
@BenBurst thats the thing i dont need to pay for energy :) and i can use something like 26 cores out of 32 so was just looking at alternatives :) for now it does zec (slow but its free so better than nothing :) )
-
@LithStud
IMO, ZEC is the best choice at the moment, I will let you know if I give a try with XMG ;)
Just for information, what speed you get with your 26 cores ? ( and what CPU is it ?)Ben
-
@BenBurst its an old Intel Xeon X7560 @ 2.2GHz
for zec i am using 24 cores as for speed well pool reports something around 15 H/s (so very slow) i might be wrong will check it once it starts again (server does routine jobs so i have set up crontab to schedule when miner is running)
-
@LithStud you ZEC miner is not showing your speed ? (in sols/s)
-
@BenBurst miner is started in background :) dont really know how to bring a process up into console on linux :)
-
Dont know why i never bought any shares of this asset. I've fixed this now :D Looks interesting this asset :D And another verified person, good!
-
@JotaJota Haha! Same with me, I just realized there is an asset like this. LOL.
-
@LithStud oh that's sad :(
@JotaJota @bandarfjb
Thanks for your support guys.
