Mining with a MacBook Pro 10.7.5 Help!

  • I have a MacBook Pro 10.7.5 OS X Lion I bought a back up Hard drive with 1 TB/ Can some one teach me how to mine with my older MacBook Pro? I am very new with this but want to mine . I was reading somewhere in the forum that you don't plot with a MaCBOOK Pro. Thank you!

    Use the guide above

If you want plot on your macbook, you are able to, but you need to keep in mind, that it takes a long time and can eat a lot of battery. If you really want you can just use the dcct_miner (Ignore the miner part). There is a couple of guides on this forum and if you need more help, you can just ask.

If you have a windows computer, it would be best if you could plot them there (With the windows client?). You can do this directly to the harddrive and then mine with your macbook.

Thank you for responding so quick. I tried to download the dcct_miner but it only works on OS X 10.9.+ and mine's is only a 10.7.5...I might just wait until I get a Windows computer. My MacBook is pretty old and requires alot of updates..therefore, confusing me even more!
