I cannot get the wallet to work on three diffrent pcs
-
Hi ,
I am having major problems getting the wallet to work on vista xp or windows 7 just will not load up just window jumping up saying it cannot ddo something .....all 32bit machines what do i need?
-
The wallet needs to run on 64bit java(local wallet) the UI is 32bit
-
it would have been nice to know that before going out and buying a 8 gb drive hard when your pcs are 32 bit dont you think it would be a very good idea to make that clear sooner i.e on the download sites, so why say it runs on xp then???? and java what? browser? explain please
-
@Liquid1 The wallet doesn't require 64 bit, it'll happily run on 32 bit.
However, most of the plotting & mining tools are 64 bit. You can still plot/mine with the original Java Plotter and Miner.
-
ok then where do I get the wallet and hard drive mapper that will work on windows 7 32 bit ? and the java files needed are where? for windows 7 you do know java does not run in explorer now don't you.... I need full help here I am new to this way of coin colection
-
@Liquid1 Lets start at the beginning - did you download just the wallet, or the AIO miner?
You need just the java wallet: https://forums.burst-team.us/topic/1686/burstcoin-wallet-v1-2-7-all-platforms
Then download this batch file, rename it run.bat, and overwrite the existing run.bat: 0_1480465507166_run.bat
It does a much better job of finding Java, and get the wallet started. However, before starting the wallet, goto http://db.burst-team.us - this will download db.zip, which is almost up to date block chain, extract it in <your wallet directory>\burst_db
then run the run.bat.
The java plotter/miner are here https://forums.burst-team.us/topic/111/burstdev-s-pocminer-pocminer_pool-v1-all-platforms but I've never used them, so won't be much help on them sorry.

@haitch wow this just looks like my drop coin Cryptocoin sites but modified a tad do i need this on a server?
-
@Liquid1 Don't understand the question.
-
@haitch with having html files, it looks like it was made to run on a server hence me asking
-
@Liquid1 - No it's a self contained webserver - once the wallet is running you can go to http://localhost:8125
-
@haitch Hi thankyou for the help so far. ok what browser does this need on a windows pc? also is this on the main server as one of the screen popped upon another pc i was trying to use saying it was testnet
-
@Liquid1 Any browser should work - don't know why it would be saying you're on the testnet - it defaults to the real one, would requires a properties change to go to testnet.
-
@haitch have got another problem now the db will not download just keeps failing over and over arrrrrrrrrr its driving me mad now
-
@Liquid1 Try now - there was a denial of service attack going on against my host.
-
@haitch ok I added the two db files and sod all happen its still got the dammed down loadng blockchain small green corner that as not moved a fart since the update i see no buttons at the bottom or the top in the wallet that i shows in the videos spent all day and night so far no joy on making one coin lol even the coin dropper as not sent my money to my account hellllp
-
@Liquid1 For pool mining you don't actually NEED a local wallet - you can use the online one at http://wallet.burst-team.us
When you unzipped the files you had the wallet stopped ?
-
@haitch pool mining??? why on earth would i want to do that/??, I want the wallet to work local man and solo mine lol pool mining
-
@Liquid1 What files do you have in your burst_db directory ?
How big is your plot - you need a lot to effectively solo.
-
@haitch why are 20 pc connected to my pc including two of your pool servers? 173kb uploaded 114mb downloaded 20 peers 0/23 up-to-date peers
-
@Liquid1 The wallet connects to peers to download the blockchain - same as in pretty much any coin - it's a peer to peer network.
