Plot Optimizer v1.6 with GUI 1.0.3-j6jq (Win) [Not for XPlotter]
-
@IceBurst The stagger size in the filename tells the miner what section to mine.
-
I thought Stagger represents the maximum amount of memory to allocate while mining, I don't know how that can determine the layout of a plot file. I'll go review the process work flow and see if I can figure it out by carefully reviewing the stagger.
Thanks,

@IceBurst The stagger shows how the scoops are laid out for each nonce - with a stagger of one it's 1 2 3 4 ... with a stagger of two it's 1 1 2 2 3 3 4 4 ... stagger of three - 1 1 1 2 2 2 3 3 3 4 4 4 ...in a fully optimized plot, where stagger = # of nonces, all the x scoops are sequential.

Ah got it, also see.... https://forums.burst-team.us/topic/2486/at-which-stagger-size-is-optimization-no-longer-needed
I'm just going to apply a stagger to the miner. Interesting though is people XPlot with a stagger that blows up the phone. I might be able to prevent it though.-IceBurst

@IceBurst Stagger shouldn't really matter for the mobile miners, assuming it's all flash - there is no seek time, you can read any offset in the same time. It's on mechanical HDD where you have to seek to a new location that it's an issue.

Sometimes I overlook the obvious.....

@IceBurst Many times the obvious isn't all that obvious ......

@luxe i need help. when i try to open the ".jar" file it opens up winrar. what do i need to do? Thank you.
-
@easygisi01 Try 'right click' ... choose 'open with ...' and select java platform, you may have assigned winrar as standard application for jar.

I keep getting this msg when I try to optimize my plots File not complete, (Expected size: 498073600000, actual size: 490112128000). It is a 500gb drive, this is how I have the optimizer setup: path to optimized file D:\burst\plots\accnt#_0_1900000_38000, Path to folder that will contain optimized plot file: G:\burst\plots\optimized, ram amount is set at 1gb. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong?
Thanks :)

@redrum78 seems your plot incomplete, try check it by PlotsChecker https://forums.burst-team.us/topic/348/plotschecker

When I run the bat (as admin) this is what I get:
I have just switched from Mac to Windows so I'm a newbie but otherwise fairly computer literate. I'm striking out with a variety of Burst apps :(
-
@rbcarruthers You need edit .bat file
- id = yours id
-sn = 0
-n = 0
-t = how much cores in CPU
-path = path where will placed plots
-mem = may not set
- id = yours id
-
@rbcarruthers Create the folder "Plots" in "H" drive first, make sure to modify the .bat file as @Blago suggested then run the file as Administrator.
-
@Blago OK thanks. Now I'm running your miner-burst-1.16 am I correct in thinking drive optimization is not very important?
-
@rbcarruthers if you used Xplotter or GPU-plotter (direct mode) - you don't need make optimizations
