@Gibsalot 2 Years.

Guys... I'm thinking of an idea (could be a suggestion or consideration) for android pool. If we only depend on all android miners who joining the pool, which most of them only using <200GB capacity, the chance to hit the block could be 1 in a year (or even never happen).
What if the android pool (mpool.burst-team.us:8080) is given specific rules and at the same time giving a big support to all android miners? Here's the idea:
- limit of maximum capacity to join the pool, let's say max 200GB capacity.
- burst-team (in this case will be very generous) will put 100TB capacity as a support so that the pool will be able to hit the block regularly.
- burst-team's share is limited to get only 30% of earning when it hits the block.
- the rest 70% of earning will be distributed to all android miners based on their historic shares.
If this is a good idea, burst-team (could be led by a senior here, such as @haitch or @crowetic , or even @AdamGuerbuez 'probably' wanna be a volunteer) could create an asset of this 100TB capacity and throw it in AE. Until the 100TB asset shares are fully sold, we can borrow 100TB from @AdamGuerbuez's Giant rig.
This is only an idea. Maybe we can do a vote to see the feedback from others... :)
Oh wait... I forgot to mention @nameless who's usually has an 'out of the box' idea for creating assets.
What do you think guys?
Happy Bursting!

@bitko we're already on it. the problem is we have a ton of much more important issues to handle first.
Although concepts are already being made for the droid pool, there are a few more pressing matters that need to be taken care of first with the win client, wiki, etc. The entire team is working on a voluntary basis, which means we all have very limited time to dedicate to all these matters, and the little time we have, we make sure to focus in the right projects according to priority.
The mining pool will happen. It needs to, but for now we're more than happy we have an android client to begin with :)
Oh, and i already have my ''out of the box'' twist on the future pool :P
-
@nameless OK, great then.
-
good idea but personally i will not support idea of ( limit of maximum capacity to join the pool, let's say max 200GB capacity.) bcaused android mobile mining is still fresh , will should continnue encoraging member to burst mining is too early to send them away , let members you mentions their name support with their 100TB E.T.C so that the pool will hit block as soon as posible
thanks

Might I suggest allowing cloud miners to join this pool the deadlines are fantastic
Edit terrible. Idea scratch that

Would it be advantageous to organize (sequence) nonces between miners within the android mining pool? Maybe have a list somewhere to reference? At least until we get some larger capacity support?

@IceBurst yea i know right now any of the USB connected devices wont work . but that device has built in wifi ment to store media for phones and tablets thats why i was wandering if it would work via wifi and not usb cable
I guess that if you manage to mount the drive at a OS level you will be able to do it... I managed to mount clouds in my android but only at a app level and i can't see them inside the android Burst app so i can't mine with it...
-
@gpedro yea i have 100+ gb cloud storage on my phone i wish i could use
-
@Gibsalot I have a 4Tb cloud that i would love to use LOL but i doubt it can be used since i can't use it on the PC either but i would love to use the Google Drives or maybe even Amazon clouds in my phone... that would be awesome. I've been looking for mounting it at a system level but didn't found nothing yet... If you found something please let me know!? xD

@gpedro http://www.cultofandroid.com/22424/mount-dropbox-other-cloud-storage-service-as-virtual-drives-on-android-how-to/
-
@dagentlemang Thanks?! In there they say "The system will not be able to see the local virtual storage since the mounting is done at an application level and not at system level, but it can still be very handy."
But i will try it anyway to see if it works although i still think it will not mount it at a level that could be used in another app... Still will give it a try and let you guys know but i am not very positive it will work xD
-
@gpedro haha yea I get it I've tried Dropbox with no luck. I'm at a point where my cell phone is probably faster then these two dual cores I found in the trash and they mine the cloud pretty good actually

New version of the Android is in the Beta pool and will be released in the next day or two, I'm just coordinating with others. The reason for the update is:
- 2 Bug Fixes, one related to accessing SD cards, one related to the Wake Lock (Power Manager)
- New default pool for mining prior to v2.1 release.
-IceBurst
-
@IceBurst sweet hope that fix my android issue , currently it will mine as long as its pluged into the wall charger but wile unpluged as soon as the screen go's dark the miner crashes on the next block or hangs not sure witch
-
So for someone new to mining on my phone it's ready yet? because I have been trying to plot on my phone and the wallet just crashes.
-
@Cryptotrader85 Plot on your PC, then copy to your phone - it'll save you a ton of time
