AIO Client not finding Plotted HDD's
-
Im having an issue with my second computer I set up to mine Burst. The Plotter just finished plotting the second drive I have in there. But when I click on Start Mining in the Client, theres no found plots?
It also says I have to put my plots to X:\Burst\Plots or X:\plots\
-
@tylerk07 check manually with windows explorer that the files exist.
-
@iKnow0 hey yeah i did that, these are the pics of what im getting
-
@tylerk07 the driver letters are still the same, change A to Z, and B to Y. A and B drive letters are traditionally used for floppy drives which may not be checked by the Burst client. In the disk management right click on the drive and the option to change the drive letter will appear.
-
@iKnow0 I didnt think you could change a drive letter without having to replot everything?
-
@tylerk07 the drive letter is basically just a labeled shortcut for the OS.
-
@iKnow0 Yes that did work!!
Also Im mining off 2 computers right. 5.5TB on one and 3.6TB on another. In my historic shares it will either say I have 5.5 or 3.6 its not giving me the combined total of 9.1?
-
@tylerk07 that is normal behavior, not too worry you will get paid for both.
-
@iKnow0 Is there anything im overlooking? Im using same wallet address for both, both have same nickname, both in the same pool?
on the name note.. I can only see my name in there once? Becuase im mining 2 seperate computers shouldnt I be in there twice?
-
@tylerk07 you have 2 pc's but only 1 will have the better deadline at a time, the pool only reports the one with the best deadline. Watch the top miners of your pool and you will see their plot size change too, they like you are using more than 1 pc.
-
@iKnow0 So if i want double the amount of coins I should be mining separate pools?
-
@tylerk07 no, just plot more drives. the reward recipient can only be set to one pool at a time.
-
@tylerk07 Your earning are based on your capacity - if you split the capacity to two accounts, each would earn half the amount of the current one
-
@haitch Ah now I get it, so really the only upside to having multiple computers mining the same account would be that you have a better chance at receiving faster deadlines?
