Mining Question
-
I am mining in a pool and the minimum space requirement is 1.5TB to mine. So, I plot my 3TB external hard drive at 2.3TB. When I click to start mining, I'm able to get few blocks. Later on, why do I get "error read file"?

Take some snap shots please!

Here is a second image.

@Ramon32842016 Do you have some Anti Virus running that might be checking the file ?
-
I have had that too but cant remember why. It was a year ago when I started. It looks like it on your end with the external hdd.
I would take it out and put directly in the computer to see if different. If it comes to me exactly why I had the same thing I post again. But I bet its the external drive!
-
The more I think about it it was the external hdd cause I still use every hdd I have. Is it a new external drive?
-
@haitch Only Windows Defender.
-
@tross My main hard drive is 4TB, so I will test it with plotting 2TB. If it works without reading errors, then I will buy 2 Hard Drives because my computer has 4 internal input hard drives. I will keep you up to date solving this issue.

@Ramon32842016 and @BURSTguy you guys should try the steps in this thread... There is a way explained in there by @Blago on how to see the error code so you could have more information on what's happening, but basically you should try these steps:
- Try run the miner in default mode and in AVX mode and see if there are some difference;
- Try in a USB 3.0 port if available;
- Check the Power options of USB;
- Try connect the drive in another USB port;
- Run a test on the HDDs;
- Run a Test on RAM;
- Run the extended miner @blago made available in that post and see what error it gives you;
- Check with another USB Cable (very unlikely but won't hurt to try!)
If none of this steps solve it, probably the hdd was beat up or have some problem :(
If you guys found out the reason please share with us!Like i said i have this issue too but is with the clouds i am using and its from time to time, i think that in my case it's a timeout error when my internet connection is not the best but could be some definition on Windows and maybe could be solved easily with some feature nobody tryed before xD
Good luck and if you have any doubt regarding to the error codes, tag @Blago because nobody knows better the baby than his fater right? hahahaha

@gpedro I solved the problem thanks to you. It was a bad USB port. I connected to another port and it works fine without reading errors. It has been more than 2 hours running smoothly. Once again, thank you for helping me. For sure I will donate to you some Burstcoins just give 1 to 2 days of mining.
-
@Ramon32842016 Glad i could help ;D
-
@gpedro As I promise, I will send you some Burstcoins.
-
@Ramon32842016 It was not needed but thanks man?! xD
-
@gpedro I sent 30. Did you receive them?
-
@Ramon32842016 Received thanks!
