Has anyone plotted over 20TB with CPU, if so how long did it take?

  • @haitch Whoops wrong one... here it is..

@tylerk07 mkdir and gpuplotgenerator are two separate commands - you can't combine them like that. Go to teamviewer.com, download and run the app for "one time access", then private message me the id and password for remote access - I'll remote in and do it for you.

  • @haitch Its working! I don't really want to mess with it at this point but is there a way to get more nonce per minute out of my GPU, as my CPU was doing almost just as much? Also I seen that I have even more TB's worth of drives that aren't plugged in yet. Ive got over 20TB total. Is there an easy way of adding them on or is that a Haitch job? ;)

@tylerk07 with the way GPU mining works in direct mode, it builds the plot files then fills them in - you nonces/minute will start really low, then grow as the files are filled in.

However you CPU memory is wrong - devices.txt isn't right. I forgot to check that. Private Message me a new TeamViewer ID

How do I change the CPU memory while plotting Direct? I noticed that I can change the last number in the command line for what would be the stagger normally in Buffered mode, and it increases the GPU Memory and CPU memory I get a total of 8GB which is what my card is so I left it at that. But if CPU memory is being used also I have 32GB of that. Where in Devices.txt is that setup?

  • @gpedro I took me 10 days for 5tb plotting.

  • @marinakrabov You plot even slower than me, or should i say at the same speed, because i used 2 PC's to plot at that speed xD

  • @haitch Hey man, thought Id let you know that the GPU plotter you set up failed at like 30% or so.. ive already CPU plotted another 6TB and got another 9TB. I want to start mining while it plots aswell but as soon as I go into the client and click start mining it says no found plots right after i just plotted 2 drives?

@tylerk07 Sorry to hear the GPU failed. Make sure the plot files are in <drive letter>:\burst\plots

  • @haitch I just checked, they both have plot files in each folder, Is it an issue that im using the same wallet that im currently using to mine on a different computer? At the bottom of the AIO client where it says 'Mining Wallet' its says my balance is 0 when its in fact not.
Any ideas on why it might now be finding my plotted drives? Also the drive letters are different on each computer.

  • @tylerk07 What CPU do you have? On my i5-2500K, 28GB Ram, 2TB HDD's.... It only takes me 16 - 18hrs to finish the plot using the official burst wallet AIO.

  • @mterrenal Its an i7 930, The plotting on both drives finished successfully. I can see them in the plot folders
