100 Percent calculated. writing data... It has said this for a long time. Does the last percent take the longest or something or am I ok to quit out of it
-
@burn1ngf1re You're okay to stop it - if the amount you asked it to plot, when scaled up by the stagger size, exceeds your capacity it'll get stuck at 100%. If you check the free space on the drive you'll probably find it's 0 bytes free.
The inability to completely plot the last stagger will cause a warning when you mine (Something like filesize does match filename) but it's okay - you'll still be able to mine with it.

@haitch yeah the drive is full. it says 1.3MB left. I plotted 930GB(1TB drive)
-
@burn1ngf1re Yeah, just kill the plotter and ignore the warnings from the miner.

@haitch
I am experiencing a similar problem when plotting to an external drive I have not plotted to before. I have swiped it clean, so I have 380 GB of free space. I tried plotting 100 GB first, then 25, then 15, then 10, and every time it gets stuck at 100 percent (except the 100 GB, which got stuck on 6 %). I'm using the win client v. 0.2.7.The actual plots file in the folder appears to be about 4 GB large every time, regardless of the size I want it to be. When it is stuck at 100 percent the machine is not idling, it maintains the use of 33% CPU (i5 processor) and 3,5 GB RAM until I close the plotter.
On the same machine I had no problem plotting to the local disk and a network drive. Could it be related to the external HDD somehow?

@Propagandalf What file system is the disk formatted with? If it's FAT-32 the maximum file size is 4GB. Reformat with NTFS
-
@haitch I will check it tomorrow, thanks for the suggestion.
-
@haitch Well I'll be damned! It was FAT-32 and now I have formatted to NTFS and the problem is solved. Thanks!
-
@Propagandalf No Problem - glad it's resolved.
