Local Wallet now not working
-
@Baron re:about the db unzip issue, you might try a different archiver to unzip it, winrar works for me but ideally you should use the same one that created it. It may or may not work but its worth a try.

Hi thanks for reply. I'm not sure what the original zip file was zipped with.
-
@Baron ask daWallet i think he creates it.
-
now don't forget to run your optimizer sir! lol
-
@Bkewlbro Thanks for the tip. I'm ordering more hd so I can do so..
-
Seriously, this is so amazing. It feels like the gold rush of the late 19th century.
I just got into this out of nowhere days ago and am mining for digital gold...
Wow!
-
I don't believe it I'm back to square one with my Local Wallet not loading again..
Whatever happened to the blockchain in the last day or so messed it up and I had nearly dl'd the whole lot..
:(
-
If you are pool mining you don't need it. Continue mining. I haven't a used a local wallet in months. Just use the online wallet and frankly you don't need it running. If I use client 3.5 I just mine with it and never long into it
-
Yep, had it with the local..
-
Update: folks, after much wrangling I used 7-zip to unload the file.
It fucking worked ...sweet!
Thanks go out to iKnow0 for the idea..
I tried different zip tools and that one works great..
I'm now accepting donations to my wallet for my never give up Burstcoin attitude

@iKnow0 I create it, and it is winrar zipped - but never had an issue extracting it with just the built in dump Windows zip tools.
-
Hi Haitch kudos to your creation. I humbly bow to your genius.
It seems I am not windows savvy as being a mac man all my life..
Who knows what the prob was but I suspect human error on my part more than anything else..
peace

@haitch had similar issues back in the days of MS-DOS and command line zips. Since winzip is the creator of zip, i assume windows dev's only tested it on that one.
-
@iKnow0 Actually, thinking back, someone was having an issue extracting it on a linux. The version of zip/gzip they were using couldn't handle files > 2GB. Maybe the same on Mac ?
