Is there any chance of winning block with 100gb or less size plots?

  • I've been mining for 2 days. Yesterday i mined with 100gb plot for 18Hrs constantly. But i got only 6 Burstcoin today. Is this normal payout or am i doing something wrong?
And by using Faucet i could earn more then 10 Burst-coin a day, then what are the benefits of mining process whole day!?
And as per current algorithm multiple miners mining same block at a time , whoever submits first will get rewards(especially TB miners) and others just wasted electricity, time and money am i right?
Please share some tips for individual miners who can afford only smaller plots(less than 500GB) but LONG TIME mining(18hrs a day).

  • I am a little bit confused on your question. I think what you are asking is that you are not mining with a lot of space and that is why you are getting low amounts of burst.

  • @mathew I read somewhere in this forum that if i find any block then i can earn more than 1000 coin(https://forums.burst-team.us/topic/170/amount-of-burst-per-day/4).
So question is simple that is there any chance for finding block who is mining with 100GB plot? [sorry for bad English**]
and please answer other questions also.

Ensure you are not mining on ninja, i suggest burst-team as they accept much higher deadlines.

But seriously, you can mine with 100gb, but if you have your pc or laptop just running for that, you will not make profit at current prices due to electricity bill.
Burst is 'Proof of Capacity' ... so if you seriously want to play this game, you should consider adding more capacity.
Don't get me wrong, you are welcome to mine with us, but you will only earn in relation to your investment.
100gb are currently available for below 3€

It is possible to find a block, but it could take weeks and months! Calculate for yourself, with ~8.000.000GB mining burst your chance at every block is 80.000 to 1. (little tired, hope my numbers match oO)

  • @luxe Crystal clear information! Thank you! I am playing this game because i am totally new to this things and i really want to learn this, i already introduced this to some of my friends. Main purpose is long term investment what if burst coin value will increase 1coin = $1 or in future or may be higher!? If so then My current earning will defiantly worthy! :) (For earning i use blogging which gives me $10 a day sometimes!)

If you're in it for the long haul, then you should consider (re)investing your freshly minted Burst coins into some of the assets Burst has to offer in the Asset exchange. BURSTaker, for example, costs 50 coins per share, so you could buy one share a week approximately, based on how much you say you earn from mining. It's not much, but it is something - and it is certainly better than letting your coins sit there and do nothing to increase their value.

    @dreamboy334 Find a block on burst-pool in a good time ( < 1 min ) you'll probably get closer to 2,000 - 2,500 burst.

    H.

  • @Propagandalf Thank for that. i thought, i need atleast several thousand Burstcoins to trade.

  • @haitch yes thats what i am talking about. I think finding block is game of chance, as @luxe said and my chances are very low with 100gbplot.

@dreamboy334 At the moment the pool is about 5.8PB - 5,800TB - 5,800,000GB. You have 100GB, so your chance of winning a block is approximately 100/580,000,000. The odds are low, but my small miners have won blocks. Your 100GB will get some good times where even if you don't win you'll get a good payout, or you could win, or on the other hand you won't have a Deadline that meets the threshold to submit the nonce - it varies, it's a lottery - the more space, the more tickets, the more chance of winning something.
