Help! Error at Change Reward Assignment :c
-
I am using the Online Wallet.
-
The only thing I can think is there is a space at the front or end of the burst address or passphrase.
-
@socalguy I checked that and it's not likely possible since It copies the address when you click the button and then copies the passphrase from the account manager. Also I don't see any Spaces.
-
@Dumo Wouldn't hurt to manually check by pasting the info into the notepad. Then using the info from notepad to enter your reward assignment. Your choice. :)
haha whenever I'm in doubt I just restart my computer.xD
-
@Socalguy already restarted it after my fifth post or so... also did that notepad thing before posting here, im going to unblock some stuff in my hosts and see if it works then
-
Didn't help, were just telemetry services blocked anyways :D
Any clue? I have tried with a fresh account same issue.
EDIT: Could Java be involved?
-
@Dumo If it won't change on the online wallet as well, I doubt it's your java. Whats your Burst address ?
-
@haitch BURST-TQAX-2YF6-6GDN-EUE29
socalguy already sent me some burst, if you plan the same
-
I am using Win 10 Pro 64bit if that matters.
-
Paging Mr @gpedro, you are needed room 5 please. :)
-
@Dumo No, I wanted to take a look at your address properties. Everything looks ok - incoming & outgoing transactions, public key exists. Can't explain wht you're getting the error.
-
@haitch Good to know, thanks for checking.
It feels good not being left alone with it.
-
Just checking but when adding your reward assignment, are you adding your burst address or the address of the pool?
-
@socalguy The burst address of the pool. And the passphrase of my burst address.
-
Throwing a hail mary here but https://forums.burst-team.us/topic/348/plotschecker?
-
-
@Dumo Well i think you already tried all the common mystakes so the only suggestion i have for you is trying in different online wallets, here you have a list of all the online wallets reward assignment pages, try those and let us know:
https://wallet.burst-team.us:8125/rewardassignment.html
https://wallet.burst-team.us:8126/rewardassignment.html
https://wallet.burst-team.us:8127/rewardassignment.html
https://wallet.burst-team.us:8128/rewardassignment.html
https://mwallet.burst-team.us:8125/rewardassignment.htmlAlso, your passphrase is really really long or it was created by the generator in the wallet? I'm asking just because someone some time ago reported some related issue and after a lot of tests we figure it out to be because of his really big passphrase, possibly could be it!
-
@gpedro Alright will test right away. I made the passphrase myself, just looking at it in Notepad, it is 89 characters long.
-
@Dumo hmm then i don't think it has to do with the passphrase lenght my biggest passphrase has 86 chars so xD
But if you can't solve it with none of those wallets try to do the reward assignment in an account with the passphrase made by the generator on the wallet just for testing purposes?!
-
OH MY GOD! It worked! I set up a third account with no random letters but a strong memorized passphrase.
I also have a clue why the second account with a shorter one (like 50) didn't work. Randomly hammering I hit letters like Ö Ü Ä which probably caused the issue.
A part of the old passphrase looked like this: (§UZJ&?$UKWP$%Ä*DT':W$T$ZAD;MÖAFMKÖBGM-;SDÖKN"(="Z%)
