Burst Client for Windows v0.3.9 - All in One: Wallet, Plotting & Mining
-
I just updated to 0.3.8.3 and man this thing is constantly freezing and locking up. Previous version was 0.3.8.1 (I think). Restarted the box twice as well, still same issues. very sluggish, and seems to freeze a lot.
-
@tomahawkeer Try this https://github.com/dawallet/burstwindowswallet/releases/tag/0.3.9-rc2
Although it is a release candidate version for me it works better
-
that seems to be working better atm. Upgrades normally work well, however this one didnt, no idea why.
-
I've tested it again and I see a problem loading the Crowdfunding page. There are so many of them now that the client freezes until the wallet loads them all. These Crowdfunds have to be split up in pages or split up in "kicked off" and "dormant". Most of them are not running.
I do rely on feedback from users, so does anyone else have experiencing a "very sluggish" behavior of version 0.3.8.3 ?
-
@daWallet I have not tried it yet, I'll try it tonight or tomorrow
-
small bug with the gpu miner
when using the GPU miner from within the AIO wallet, it likes to change the PlatformID and DeviceID both to 0, meaning it tries to GPU mine on the CPU, it should be automatically setting the PlatformID to 1 and the DeviceID to 0
So pretty much the GPU Miner in the AIO wallet will never work for the majority of people
I've had to set the properties file to read-only, but that means you have to manually change the pool in the propoties file.
-
@Lexicon this is not the whole story, because Intel CPUs mostly have a gpu unit.
I have not found a way yet to be user friendly and easy to use and still change to the "right" platform or device ID. (@luxe , feature request)
Additionally I don't have a dedicated graphics card myself to test it.
-
@daWallet its cool just something someone mentioned on discord
-
@daWallet After a few days of testing, for me the 0.3.9-rc2 version goes slightly faster.
What is a disaster is the Crowdfunding section.
For now I'm going back to version 0.3.9-rc2
-
@Energy crowdfund page needs some rewriting in my opinion :)
-
@Energy Yeah, the amount of Crowdfunds are so high now that every browser got problems with it. The page has to split into many pages..
-
@daWallet Feature suggestion/request for the wallet.
When using multiple accounts within the wallet.
When a user selects a wallet from the load wallet, ( the passphrase is currently copied to the clipboard)Can this be changed/update so that
the local wallet is displayed (ie logout of current local wallet)
the passphrase is pasted into the input box
and have the checkbox remember passphrase checked by default.so that the user only need to click the enter to login.
-
@iKnow0 Ok, added to the list.
" and have the checkbox remember passphrase checked by default." - This exists in your Wallet settings.
-
@daWallet Great, did not know that was there :-)
-

Support development with some Burst: BURST-YZJ6-LYBY-WAC6-BQYGC
(After more than a year only 3 people have donated an amountoverabove 2 Burst)Edit: above not over. Not a native speaker here.
-
@daWallet In general users are not donating without pressure ... maybe you should try offer new features by crowdfund.
-
@luxe then I would become rich very soon with bufixing my own spaghetti-code ;) Your idea in my case is like blackmailing :D
I'm a little tired of developing the client lately. It's getting more complex every time.

@daWallet said in Burst Client for Windows v0.3.9 - All in One: Wallet, Plotting & Mining:
Support development with some Burst: BURST-YZJ6-LYBY-WAC6-BQYGC
(After more than a year only 3 people have donated an amount over 2 Burst)Did you not get the funds from the @nameless as a support team?
He had previously released an FAD asset designed specifically for this. Now the asset has moved in 402 asset, but seems to be @nameless as planned to support the developers. Or am I mistaken?
-
@emcb No, not one Burst. I guess they have a different definition of "developer". I'm pretty sure @luxe and @blago haven't seen anything from the FAD, too.
